What an awesome object lesson! I have used this already in church, sermons, leadership classes, and around our dinner table as we discuss how much more powerful it is to work as a team! It definitely is fun for kids to experiment with it as well and see all the different ways you can get energy to be passed along. If you follow this experimentation up with discussion questions, you will have content for hours! This definitely has made this teacher’s year!

Good teaching tool

My child used this in science class and thought it was really interesting, so I got one. It works well and is fun to use. I like it.

I've used this toy in class with my students and they have always found it fun. I have been using it for three years.

It works as advertised. I use this for teaching Electricity Merit badge. I like.the size. The flashing light and warbling tone makes it usable with larger groups of people. There is a factual error in the instruction manual. It states that electrons flow in your skin to complete the circuit. I believe while that, in metal conductors, the current consists of the flow--actually "drift" would be a better description--of electrons (negativity charged particles), the current across your body consists almost entirely of positive ions. The current flows in sweat and the interstitial fluid in the skin. These fluids are conductive because they have ions dissolved in water (they are salty). In this case, the drift of positive ions supports the current. I realize that the above is not age appropriate for the audience, but I can't offer a.fix.

My high school students enjoyed experimenting this. It was a great demo of electricity. We made a large circle in the classroom and touched fingers and made it light up and make sounds. Then, we brought it near a plasma ball and the lights started flashing without even touching it. The students thought it was creepy! It was good introduction to electric fields in the air.

We own one of these that my grandsons loved. So ordered one for a birthday gift for a now 8 yr old great-nephew. Seems this was the hit of his birthday as multiple people can hold hands with this two holding this thing and it goes off. Heard it was headed to show and tell next week. lol

I love these things! What a great way to show children and ADULTS how Energy works and how they are conductors! Every Teacher needs one of these in their classroom.
