The Best FX Skin Product!
I bought this product along with the "I Can't Believe It's Not Blood" product in order to do a special video project for my channel. We wanted to make a horror skit/short film for our YouTube channel and it is coming along nicely and it is all due to these 2 products. However, the Monster Liquid Latex in particular here is the main base for all of it. So let me tell you guys about it. First, I was looking all over for something that was cheap but could also be used an FX type makeup so we can do our video stuff. Eventually I found this product, I loved the low price, and due to all of the amazing reviews it helped motivate my opinion into purchasing this product. When, I first got the Liquid Latex, however, I had to keep it in on my shelf for the past few weeks since we weren't working on the video until the past couple days, but let's just say this first; it's amazing. When we first opened up the Liquid Latex for application we were shocked at how nice it actually is. I never used Liquid Latex products at all before, but it seem to be just like I expected. To me, it kind of has a similar consistency to Rubber Cement but slightly less thick. The latex goes on the desired area nicely (I recommend using a brush) and it dries quickly enough to apply more layers for a thicker "skin" for all of your creative ideas for it. We, however, were using it mostly to do the face on our antagonist in our video, and after about 20-30 minutes we got it to were we wanted it on our dear friend who plays the role (sorry, no pictures :( ). He expressed that he had no irritation or itchiness from the latex, although, after about a couple hours of filming, his only complaint was that it felt weird because it wasn't his normal face. Anyway, overall this product this is amazing, especially if you are filming a short film or experimenting with design. Pros: -Applies easily. -No irritation or itching (us, anyway) -Lasts until you wash off. -Easy to mold. -Great for photography and short film purposes (we think it would be great for Halloween too) Cons: -Anyone who is allergic to latex cannot use this amazing product. Once again, I hope this review helps those of you who are considering this product. Trust me, I was looking at those jars of that rub on fake skin stuff and everything, but let me tell you, if you really want something to do it's job then this for you. Plus, it works perfectly with other FX products such as fake blood and more. Thanks for your time and I hope this helps.

Great Stuff, Worked for Making Latex Mask! BEST DEAL ON A PINT
Coming from the perspective of a novice DIY'er this stuff did exactly what I needed it to! I don't have much experience to compare it to but it definitely worked in the process of making my boyfriend's mask for Halloween. I just watched a ton of youtube tutorials and like 4 seasons of Face Off and decided what the heck, let's do it. This is DEFINITELY the most affordable option I found on Amazon though in retrospect I do wish I'd purchased elsewhere online in bulk as I ended up having to run to halloween stores for 2-3 more pints which got very expensive. Still, this is the best deal you'll find on anything that's less than a quart. A pint (same size as this) at Spirit or Halloween City was $18-$20!!! Ridiculous. Anyway, combined with two other brands of latex I used it was all strong, durable, and easy to paint (50/50 cheap acrylic paint and liquid latex mixed together). All of them together came out as a white-ish yellow sort of light fleshy tone. It didn't have as much of a smell to it as one of the other brands I used but that was also a container I'd had for about a year compared to this one which was fresh. I didn't notice much of a difference in consistency compared to the others but I also wasn't paying much attention. Like I said....novice. This is the first time I've ever sculpted or molded or cast anything at all let alone something like this. There are definitely lots of mistakes I made that I'll fix next time around but I hope this was helpful for anyone like me looking to try their hand at FX!

Used for Mixed Media and LED Prosthetics. Works Great!
This was super affordable and easy to work with. We'll be buying it in much larger quantities now that we got to test run it. We're building latex prosthetics for several of the characters for our project "The Reliquarian". It dries quickly, and is helpful to do in thin layers. I use the cheap sponge applicators from a craft store. The smell was WAY less offensive than other brands I've tried, but we work with so many things I may just be immune to it now. Aside from creating the mold prosthetics it works well to build on and into on the skin. (See photos below). We used Wolfe body paints and water based acrylic paints, both of which work well over it and the latex blended seamlessly with the skin. Take off requires patience. We used both dawn dish soap and isopropyl myristate in our test applications, with a qtip. If you take your time and run a well saturated one gently under the prosthetic it will release naturally and without removing skin or hair. (Recommend shaving/waxing anywhere that you're putting the latex on while wet.). You can use the latex itself as a prosthetic adhesive, or we used prosaide. Both worked well

On par with any other latex, but 100% smells worse.
Works well, but smells HORRIBLE. Worse than other brands I've worked with. I use 'smelly' glues and latex in the house quite often, normally just push through the oder; but this one is genuinely putrid. I've tried using it for facial sfx attachments, but even after sealant coats and over a week drying, I can't put it anywhere near my nose.

My son loved this! This is the second time we have ordered this product and I already know he is going to ask for a reorder to make his homemade halloween masks!

Don't waste your time and money (from a pro)
I've been working with liquid latex since 2017 as a SFX MUA and this is the worst liquid latex I have ever used. I bought 2 bottles, one after the other. The first bottle was mostly "dry" (thick but not dry to the touch) at the top even though it was sealed. The "liquid" inside was so thick I had to shake and squeeze the bottle to get any out. It was more pungent than usual. I tried to use it anyway, but it would not dry completely. Still after 48 hours now, that part of my project is not dry. I am on a time crunch and need things to dry how they are supposed to, so I issued a return hoping that I can get a replacement and this was just a fluke, because I have used this brand in years past with great success. The second bottle was no better and smelled even worse than the first. Liquid latex always smells a little like fish or wet dog or sweaty sock, but this bottle was all of those and more. And its still the thick terrible consisitency that wont dry completely. I would return the second bottle if I weren't so desperate to finish my project (time crunch is worse since the latex issues). Mixing it with water helps thin it out but it still is taking forever to dry. I just have to make do because all the good stuff takes too long to ship or is way to expensive for the quantity I need. This product used to be good, or at least usable. I dont know what happened.

Decent Product but Packaging and Pricing Disappointments
Decent Product but Packaging and Pricing Disappointments I tried out Kangaroo's Halloween Makeup Monster Liquid Latex, and while the product itself was quite decent, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed due to a couple of factors. I'd rate it at 3 stars. Product Quality (4/5): The liquid latex itself worked well for my special effects makeup. It dried relatively quickly, adhered nicely, and allowed for creative effects. It's a great addition to any SFX makeup kit. Packaging (2/5): My biggest issue was with the packaging. When the product arrived, the bottle was damaged, and a small amount of the latex had leaked. While it wasn't a major catastrophe, it was still an inconvenience and a mess to clean up. This aspect definitely needs improvement. Sturdiness (2/5): I was a bit disappointed by the fragility of the packaging, which ties into the second point. A product like liquid latex should ideally be contained in a sturdier bottle to prevent leakage during shipping. The flimsy packaging was a letdown, and I hope the manufacturer addresses this in the future. Pricing (3/5): While the product is decent, I found that I could get similar quality liquid latex locally at a better price. When factoring in the potential for damaged packaging during shipping, it made me question whether it's worth ordering online. Pricing should be competitive, and I didn't feel this product justified the cost, especially when I found better deals nearby. In summary, Kangaroo's Halloween Makeup Monster Liquid Latex is a decent product for special effects makeup, but the packaging issues and pricing concerns detract from the overall experience. It's not a bad choice if you can't find a local alternative, but for those who can, you might want to explore your options. A bit of extra care in packaging and competitive pricing would make this product a more appealing choice.

I've been using it for painting nails and it works great. I poured it into an old nail polish bottle I cleaned out and it is perfect for brushing over the skin around my nails. It comes off in one sheet without tearing most of the time, and it's nice and thin so it dries in only a couple minutes. The only thing to watch out for is to not stick your fingers with the latex together, because the latex sticks to itself. It smells a little funky too.

Bastante funcional.
