The Best Choice Products Metal Hanging Hammock C-Stand for Chair/Weather-Resistant Finish, Offset Base - Stand Only - Brown is fantastic! It is solid/heavy and well made. Was packaged well and easy to assemble by one person (took approximately 10 minutes). Needed two people to hang the hammock chair because of the weight of the chair. The feet of the base have pre-drilled holes if nervous that it will tip which I don't expect it will due to it's weight and solid steel frame. We look forward to relaxing on our deck this summer with added cushion and pillows.

This hammock/chair hanger exceeded expectations. It's made from heavy steel with a very nice finish. It comes in 4 pieces--two are the legs, two make up the C-shaped arm. The legs bolt together and through the bottom portion of the arm with two large bolts. The upper part of the arm bolts to the bottom part with two shorter stout bolts. It comes with the tools necessary to assemble, and it takes only a few minutes from start to finish. The clip that you hang your hammock/chair to does not swivel, but if that's a desirable feature, it is not difficult to add a swivel clip if you want (we did). Once assembly is complete, it seems quite study and balanced. There are optional holes in the 4 ends of the base that you could use to bolt this to a floor if you want, but for now, we are keeping it unbolted unless it turns out to be unstable. I doubt that there will be any problems with stability, but a nice option.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked it because it has good hanging height & looked balanced & sturdy. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. It says 1 person can put it together, and I did but, the base of the stand took some ingenuity. Another pair of hands would have been helpful & saved me a bruised toe. Maybe it would be easier for a younger person.

I understood from other reviews that the delivered item may vary...there seems to be more than one version when ordering from this company. However, I received the heavy-duty version advertised and am delighted. I am at an age where the prospect of having a hammock swing collapse on me is not that funny. This stand has a very well-designed and stable base and I feel secure. I have it on the back deck, and like to swing in at late at night to commune with the owls. It is easy to put together and necessary tools are included., however, you will save yourself frustration and time if you just have one person hold the lower tube upright while putting the base "feet" together. This will take about three minutes. It is too heavy to move easily, so put it together where you intend it to stay. Very happy with this excellent stand.

Item was well made, packaged to prevent damage and simple to put together. The only thing we encountered was possible tipping during entry and exit. We each weigh appx. 165 and I feel 300 lbs would be the limit. Great customer service and all accessories were included.

I was hoping this would be a good stand for a sensory pod and normal chair hammock. I’m disappointed that this did not meet my expectations at all. The price is pretty steep for a hammock stand. The issues I have is there no way to adjust the height, making it difficult to use, the way the base is makes it also difficult for a pod to be used and makes in bulky, it is easy to step and stub your toe if you are not careful, if you get a hammock swing with the wooden/metal bar at the top no matter how you use it the bar will bang on the stand anytime there is movement. I was expecting this to be much more impressive with the way the reviews were. The description and pictures show the stand can be used with these type of hammocks or pods but it is not ideal. I’ve seen much cheaper and nicer ones that have height adjustment and the base is more compatible. I just thought for $145 it would be worth it. It also does move quite a bit while being used. We put a foam pads under it used for exercise equipment and that did help but it would still come up off the floor while the kids used it. I did not let them swing hard while they used it. When I contact the seller about returning it, I said multiple times it is too heavy for me to pack in my car and bring anywhere to return it. I would need the carrier to pick it up from my house to return it. The seller kept saying to use the return label. That is not the issue the issue is how heavy and bulky this thing is. Just really annoyed what a headache this thing is turning out to be.
