My wife and I are quarantining and for the first time planted a lot - 3 planters each of lettuce, arugula, spinach . That was spring, I am writing this now in September, we've been through 3 "crops" and I am buying my 4th set for the fall. (Ive been doing a lot of googling about gardening).We have them all along our porch rail - they sit on top of the rail. These are slightly shorter than some of the long planters you may have used- I have a few long planters too, and have decided these are better, they are easy to move, and dont twist as much when moving them. You cant fit as many plants of course, but I am learning not to over crowd - you can fit 8 spinach in one of these.These are sturdy, they come with trays and even nice tags to label plants. Sure, if you aren't quarantining, you can get these cheaper at the local store. And I wouldn't pay $40, I paid $22 / 3. When on Amazon shop around.I don't use the trays underneath. and I only needed one name age per planter because the whole planter was full of 1 type of plant.
