Another supplement review that I have to really dumb down in order for it to not get canned. I wanted to try this supplement to keep the system in which this supplement is for happy. It does just that. Sadly just this little bit may be me saying "too much". If you research this supplement, you will see how awesome it is and that is why I use it.

I should start by saying that I have a strong bias toward things that are traditional, that is have stood the test of time across especially ancient cultures. Add to that, if the purported solution/product is based on some compound of molecules that nature produced over eons of time. Those compounds, of course, developed for the benefit of the plant, tree or fungus that possess them. Think penicillin which was first isolated from a bad melon from a grocery store! Kanchnar Guggul is one such compound of molecules that is said to aid in Glandular function, especially the thyroid. I especially lit up at learning it seems to expedite the lymphatic function since that is the little discussed system that channels wastes away from every cell in our bodies. I cannot say I have noticed any difference in my health or well being. But I do feel confident in using a product with eons of traditional approval.

This thyroid & glandular support is a daily supplement, to be taken with water. There is no odor or aftertaste, and the capsules are easy to swallow. The capsules are vegetarian and gluten free. Ingredients are pure, Kosher, Halal, organically grown, fair traded, ethically sourced. Non-GMO with no soy, no dairy, no eggs, no nuts, no gluten, no salt, no sugar, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no artificial sweeteners. Made in the USA. As with any supplement you should take according to your doctor's or naturopath's direction. The ingredients in this supplement are purported to help with thyroid function, glandular function, and overall health and wellness. I have struggled with thyroid disease for over 30 years, being diagnosed very young, so if I can take a natural supplement to help with some of my thyroid function I'm going to try it. So far I haven't seen any major difference but I just started taking it. I do take a synthetic thyroid medication everyday so I've asked my naturopath how this will affect or enhance, and she advised that it would just be a supplement to the medication I already take. So I'm hoping this will boost that function and get me feeling better. This bottle, according to the dosage, should last about 4 months. That's a pretty good value at this price because thyroid medications are ridiculously expensive and insurance only covers a small portion. Again, if you can do natural remedies to help with some of these health concerns it's worth a try, especially when the price is very reasonable. The expiration date on my bottle is 2 years from now, so taking it as directed, I will come no where near the expiration date when I finish. A good value for the supplement.

I am no doctor so always consult yours for advice on your health but with that said Kanchnar Guggul has been used forever in Ayurvedic medicine for Hormonal Balance and Hypothyroidism which I suffer from. It also is said to help the Lymphatic System expel toxins. I don't have any lab work to test for those claims but all the research I have done says that this is helpful, the capsules are decent size but you only need to take one for the recommended dosage. Anecdotal but I have found it easier to maintain a healthy weight and this is the only thing I have changed about my routine.

I have read about Guggul over the years and have been curious about it so I accepted this Kanchnar Guggul when I was offered a sample. I am favorably impressed by the fact that this herb has been organically grown, as I have read that the wild herb, Commiphora wightii , is under pressure from over-harvesting. So this brand of Guggul seems to be an ethical choice. I cannot say that I have had any noticeable result from using this supplement , but I like that the product is vegan and seems to have been farmed sustainably, grown bio-dynamically and manufactured ethically and with the highest standards.

I've noticed a subtle improvement in mental clarity since starting this supplement, which is promising. Will report effects on hunger and metabolism if they become evident. I'm giving it 5 stars for now. I'll continue to update my review as needed.

These capsules smell mostly like pepper, so I'm probably imagining any pepper taste when taking them but am mentioning it anyway just in case that would bother someone. They're standard sized so I've had no trouble taking them, especially with food. Fortunately the vegan capsules contain no gelatin, making them safe for those of us with allergies to, or who avoid, pork or beef based products. I am not a medical professional so I can't say for sure if these will help in the long term, but I haven't noticed any negative effects.
