12 Beast Vol. 2

OKAYADO and his literally over-the-top fan service is not for everyone. However this manga series presents a different twist from Monster Musume, where the fabulous creatures come to our world, in 12 Beast we go to their world. More serious (but still funny) than MM. IMHO he is building an interesting world.

Being new to this type of thing, I found it interesting and funny as a one time type of thing.

In case the cover doesn't give it away, this series is full of Cheesecake. Nothing too explicit but definitely PG-13. That being said I found the story to be entertaining. The characters feel like characters and the plot was progressed from vol 1.

I really like it for what it was. Entertaining read characters a bit clinched but I think it goes with the turf

And by that I mean they ruined the translation with yet another of Okayado's books. I mean seriously, they Americanized the crap out of this volume! With translating something that should read "She sure is in a bad mood..." to "Wow, who peed in her cheerios ...?" Seriously? Okayado, please, you got yourself an animation deal with Monster Musume! Drop this terrible publishing company and look elsewhere, you have the notoriety now to do so! And not just poor translation, but they began those stupid animal puns they use in their translation of Monster Musume. Something that has a literal translation of "But you're fine now~" now shows up as "Hope you're a bit moo~re steady on your feet now." I get it, she's half bull, you don't need to beat me over the head with the dumb puns. Crappy publishers aside, 12 Beast Vol. 2 continues the faster paced action from the first volume. In this one we meet new traveling partner, a Minotaur by the name of Asterio whose chest size is probably HH. Eita hangs around the Minotaur capital to have a new glove made, one that can withstand the attacks of a Gigas. However such a glove would require a special type of metal, one that can only be found deep within the bowels of the labyrinth.

Okayado is a great artist and story writer, If you like his other works, you will love this.
