Relatively Easy To Build And Educational
I have fond memories of building electricity education kits with my dad in the '90s. Now that I have a daughter who is learning about electricity and electronics, I get to teach her. I have a subscription to Mark Rober's Crunch Crates. One of them had two motors as part of the project. The motors got stuck together because of the magnets inside. It occurred to me that I hadn't show my daughter how motors actually worked. Building this kit with my daughter did exactly that!

It is a gross representation of an electric motor. Very educational.
Very interesting device. I actually got to work as a generator using a desktop steam engine.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very fun and educational project
This was a really fun project to do with my four-year-old son. It is simple to set up and a great way to show kids how electric motors work. You can use different numbers of batteries to make it spin faster or slower, which makes it even more interesting. You might want to use a soldering iron if you want the connections to stay tight, otherwise you can just wrap the wires around the posts. It works well, but sometimes the battery holder can get hot and cause cheaper batteries to leak. Still, even with that issue, I would definitely buy it again. It is a great little learning kit.

Warning: beware brush alignment to avoid short circuit
This kit is mass produced, not finely-crafted. The instructions aren't that great. I mean at least print the photos on several sheets of paper and not cram a bunch of tiny pictures into one half sheet of paper. (That really wouldn't cost much.) And it rattles a lot and stuff when running. But it works, it's inexpensive, and the ones that cost twice as much usually have quite a few complaints that they're manufactured too cheaply too. So if every educational motor is going to be kind of low-quality anyway, might as well just get a cheap one. That's especially true if you don't really need the instructions because there's someone around who knows how these things work who can help put it together. My 4th grader managed to put it together about 90% correctly even with the bad instructions, so I wouldn't worry too much about the instructions unless you were looking for something that includes a book explaining how DC electric motors work. Needless to say, this is the sort of thing you buy when you just need the parts and can use other materials for the "textbook", not the sort of thing you buy for a complete educational activity kit. In short, it's good enough when you just need the parts to demonstrate the concepts and don't need a high-precision production electric motor.
