I AM Hydration Elation Intensive Conditioner, 8 Fl Oz

I love this conditioner. It has a pleasant and fragrant smell. It coats the hair well and is not too thick. It provides moisture and shine to the wiry, coarse, and high porosity 4C sections of my hair. It is applied best on wet hair in generous amounts. If your hair is very porous and dries quickly I recommend using a mist bottle with warm water so the product can be absorbed. Use sparingly on finer and softer 4A sections of hair. It can be a bit heavy. I leave in for 30 minutes with a plastic cap and warm hot heads cap before rinsing it out. It leaves my hair soft, fragrant and well moisturized. My only con is that the jar is very small making it an expensive investment. If you have a lot of hair you will use most if not all of the product during one wash.

I found out that I have low porosity hair after transitioning two years ago; wen Covid-19 hit, my hair dresser got sick and I didn't have anyone to take care of my hair, so I decided that the time was good as ever to GO NATURAL. I didn't know how to take care of my hair, since I had always paid lots of money monthly at some salon to have my hair looking decent at the cost of chemicals. I had been very lazy in taking care of my hair in the past few month, to the point that my hair was getting all matted. Just couldn't take it so I got a scissor and chopped some of it off, leaving holes here and there. In the process, I promised myself that I would take better care of my hair from then on; got a very nice person at a barber shop near me to trim my hair; she did a great job, which motivated me even more to be kind to my hair. Upon endless hours of watching YouTube videos on How to Treat Low Porosity Hair, I came upon a recommendation for this product. Ordered it and just used today; WOW! In a combination of an oil rinse for a few hours before washing with Mane Choice shampoo and conditioner, I deep conditioned my hair for 30 minutes with the AS I AM Hydration under a hair steamer, and could not believe how soft and curly my hair was. SUPER! I also used the AS I AM leave-in and and some curl cream and oil, the LCO method, then braided my hair. Can't wait to see the result tomorrow morning. Great product for low porosity hair. Super happy with the line!

I'm natural but I straighten my hair regularly. I usually notice just how dry my hair can get when I decide to wear it curly because I use keratin products to maintain my straight hair styles (my hair is not protein sensitive). This conditioner did wonders for moisturizing my hair after a protein treatment dried it out more than I was comfortable with. The crown of my head has a more kinky coarse texture that isn't as easy to manage as the rest of my hair. It gives me the most trouble when it comes to staying moisturized/soft and this conditioner worked wonders with that free spirited section. I had great curl clumping overall after rinsing, especially for wearing my hair straightened for over a month, and my wash and gos/twist out lasted days longer than I could usually expect. The size of this container is kind of outrageous for the price. I think it would get 5 stars from me if this came in the same sized packaging as the coconut co-wash for this price. My hair is mid-back length, dark, 4a/3c (if you buy into the number label stuff), normal to low porosity, and dense with a mixture of spongy and silky textures. I have used about 1/4 of this container after just 2 uses, following the instructions on the label, and adding honey and olive oil to the conditioner before sitting under a hooded dryer. I used this along with the As I Am coconut co-wash, leave in conditioner, curling jelly, and double butter cream. The only products I used that weren't from this line were miss jessie's pillow soft curls and a Shea Moisture holding/refreshing oil mist. I mainly use these products when I wear my hair curly but the hydration elation and double butter cream work well when I straighten my hair too.

I love as I am therefore it will always receive five stars for me. This hydration relation is off the chart. My hair is so manageable so soft so vibrant. And very gray but manageable thanks too as I am. Definitely will always buy.

One of my favorite deep conditioner. The slip is very little to non existent. However, it really does leave your hair extremely moisturized and ready to receive your leave in and other styling products!

Good does bring hydration. The texture is like a cream texture definitely doesn’t weigh down your hair. Make my curls look nicer.

10 out of 10 product!!! Cannot recommend it enough. I live in South Africa and always stockpile when I'm in the US and have access.

I've heard good reviews on this product for protein sensitive type hair. I have not used it yet.

Me encanta esta mascarilla. Es superhidratante. Cunde bastante, aproximadamente 4 meses utilizándola 1 vez / semana para hidratacion profunda. Huele muy bien y perdura el olor en el cabello. Deja el pelo sedoso y suave, mucho más fácil para desenredar cuando loa aplicas antes del acondicionador y la dejas actuar. Es muy cremosa, bastante densa. El precio es alto, pero merece la pena. En mi caso me ha ayudado a recuperar el pelo rizado dañado por tintes y decoloraciones.
