Heavy duty spear!
WOW! This is a nice boar spear. 1-1/2" diameter ash handle that's perfect straight and a nice finish! Not for throwing its too heavy duty and the weight would probably damage the blade. It is impressive!!!

Razor sharp, use extreme caution, beautiful fit/finish.
Absolutely phenomenal weapon, HUGE. Could easily hunt a BEAR lol. Doubt it's nice to throw, pretty heavy.

Solid product
Not super super tough, but thick enough metal to not break easily. It is razor sharp out of the box. For the money it definitely could kill a boar. What more could you want?

Buy it.
Let's be honest. If you're looking up reviews for this bad boy. You're either hunting big game, or a damn weirdo. Regardless, buy this thing. You won't regret it. SHARP SOLID DEADLY MASSIVE If you need just any one of those things mentioned. Why not buy them all in this 1 spear. The Head is insanely sharp, large, deadly enough to end most creatures unfortunate to find themselves impaled upon it. The shaft is over priced, that's for sure, but its perfectly fit and it's going to be hard to find a alternative without issue. It's solid and I do mean solid, fits perfectly with the head. I've thrown this thing into ton of Trees/Walls/Stumps/Boards/ once because I had dirt in my eye a rock. No damage, no marks, no breaks. Do not add the screws to secure the spear head. You'll find it impossible to remove the head after a throw or 2. Don't add the screws and possibly ruin the wooden shaft. If you want to scare the Neighbors. Look badass in a cosplay. Hunt boar, bear, tiger, lions, people. Use it for a Walking stick with the potential to end life within a 7 ft distance of yourself. Use it to decorate your wall. Or have a very nice silent/safe weapon for the coming zombie apocalypse. This is a great choice. Just a side note of the only downside I have for it. I was hoping to be able to remove the Spear head from the shaft whenever I felt like it. Assuming that with the Screws it talks about using in the installation, would make it easy to take on and off.........but like I mentioned. DO NOT use the screws, the friction hold is absolute and without heating the blade to expand it. I cannot remove the head at all. So instead of a nice walking stick that doesn't look scary to anyone, with the ability to throw a spear head on it with zero effort in case of a attack or potential attack. If I want to take this someplace, I got to be the 7ft spear holding weirdo taking his dog on a walk...........I keep it at home :( . Oh and if anyone breaks in to my house. If you're lucky you get shot, unlucky and you might get this coming at you. No one can come down a hallway with this thing pointed at em.

Not Texan, but not chicom..
I asked where is this spear made and it said that it's made in Texas, however when I opened the package it said made in Taiwan, which was disappointing, but at least it's not from china! I'll take Taiwan over china any day! It also gives a Texas address which is most likely their headquarters, not where it's made? It's possible that the wood handle is made in Texas? It's very thick, sturdy and long which will give you good reach and make a great last defense weapon for both 2 legged and 4 legged attackers. Either way it looks well made and should work well for its intention.

Just what I was looking for
Now this may be a little off in left field for most of you but I bought this spear not only for the fun of throwing it at targets but for the security of my personal space I'm a disabled person always having to walk with something to help me with my balance so I thought the spear handle was perfect which it is it's nice and thick it's heavy so worst case scenario it will take a serious blow to anything including the side of somebody's head the spearhead itself is nicely made the blade will fit on the the shaft without the screws and after throwing it a few times I'm assuming that it will be stuck there so it don't come off unless you knock it off which I plan on doing the cool thing is is that if needed I can apply the point to the shaft and I have me a weapon to defend myself from critters and bad attitude people I am very pleased with the price the only thing I got to see is how easily I can throw it and hit my mark it's one of the strongest Spears that I've come across in a very long time and I'm hoping that I will have it for years to come now for those of you don't worry about your personal protection it's a great hunting tool a great entertainment tool but for me it's perfect because I don't have to carry my gun I don't have to look scary in public cuz I'm just walking around with my walking stick etc in

The carbon steel spearhead is incredibly sharp right out of the box and has a nice, solid weight to it.
