Fell Short in Comparison to the First
I feel like maybe P. Bosch should have just left it with one book, a longer one, sure, which would answer everything, but one book. He/she seems to already be reaching for subject matter, when I'm sure we would have been gratified with just one. Now it seems like it'll be a series of pointless little individual mysteries, each telling us one fact at a time, drawing it out and leaving it more thin and boring each time. This isn't to say I disliked the book. The bigger revelations (Cass's paternity) and seeing Pietro for the first time, those moments were amazing. The continued conversational tone was great as well. But then, you get the new character, Yo-Yoji, who to me seems to stick out like a sore thumb. Why spend a whole book explaining the special relationship between Cass and Max Ernest only to have a third character ruin the two-ness of them? He seems to have no chemistry with either character, and is a male Mary Sue. So we've got a new riddle, trying to figure out what the Secret is, and a still uncaptured Dr. L and Ms. Mauvais on the loose. Sequel material, but like I said, I'm scared about the potential sequels. The excitement of the first book was all the awesome reveals in a row, and it never got boring, while in this one, I'm sad to say there were parts that I felt were dull and should be skipped. I did enjoy the last...erm...first chapter though! Bringing Amber and the Skeltons deeper into the story was a good move, I'd say. It's nice to see an evil enemy be the same age as the protagonists, for once. (as well as being someone they didn't exactly like to begin with =P) I'd like more info on P. Bosch though. I hadn't actually thought of the P.B. thing until the interview, now that's interesting stuff, there!

Fun Book Series for Tweens!
My daughter starts a lot of books. She finishes very few of them. This series has been the exception. She carried the first book around with her to read whenever she has the chance. Fortunately, I could take advantage of that and load up on the rest of the books to keep her reading. The description of this book says that it is for grades 4-6. My daughter is in 6th grade and reads a lot of challenging books for school. That she chooses this series to read for enjoyment says a lot. I don't think it is particularly challenging, but that's okay with me!

Amazing spooky and secretive
This book will teach about friendship in a way you probably never imagine. Cass and Max-Ernest have decided to join the Terces or (witch is secret spelled backwards by the way) they make 2 new friends one of witch is a magical creature made in a bottle. Cass is descendent of a jester who made the sound prism. And struggles to find out her family history. Max-Ernest is having trouble sharing cass with there other new friend. And watch as They get one dangerous step towards unlocking the secret!

addictive series
My daughter loves this book, and the hardcover design is beautiful - its rewarding to see her appreciate a physical book - with funny and smart FOOTNOTES to boot! If you read this on a kindle, it juts would not be the same.

Awesome Sequel to The Name of this Book is Secret
One of the best books of ever read by me. Full of drama, suspense, bravery, action, comedy, and an untold secret. I strongly recommend this book to anybody 8+. There is no limit on age because no matter how old you are 8 or 90, you will love this Book. ( Just read the first book of the secret series first! )

This book is the second of the Secret series, by Pseudonymous Bosch. This book is equally fun as the first one in the series, which I have also written a review for. On these books, I zoomed through them because I couldn't stop reading. There is a deliberately made error on one chapter, which I will not give away. The adventures do not end here; try the third book of the series, but read all of them in order, or else they will not really make sense, like other series books. I recommend this book to everyone who has read the first. The Ghost Writer

First of all I love the entire idea of the series of an author pseudonymously revealing a secret, and the entire set up that goes with it - the book names, the "confidentiality agreements" - it's all quite exciting and gripping to a young reader. The plot in this book never sags and compels you to read on. It mixes in mystery and danger with comedy and with life lessons that the protagonists learn on their adventures. Ideal for the average middle schooler or even mature 9-10 year old readers. However, note that 3rd book onwards, darker concepts such as dealing with death are involved, so discretion should be used depending on reading and maturity level of the reader.

Also, worum geht es in diesem zweiten Band? "If you're reading this, it's too late" liest sich schnell und flüssig, die perfekte Unterhaltung für zwischendurch.
