Definitely purchase this! Your hair will thank you. The quality is definitely there, it makes my hair so soft,and moisturized. It’s very lightweight so when it says dark oil, don’t think it’s going to weigh down your hair because it won’t. Also, it has made the frizz level in my hair, almost 0. My hair is an all over bleach and tone. So anything I can get my hands on that helps with frizz and nourishment. I am all for. The price point I didn’t think was very expensive considering a little bit go a long ways. And the shampoo leaves your hair feeling very clean, smooth and the smell is not overpowering. It’s actually quite nice.

I used Sebastian products for YEARS - since my hairdresser cousin gave me some to "unfry" my swimmer's hair in college - and turned me into a convert, and loyal customer 😁. I have strayed occasionally - this stuff ain't cheap - but always come back, humbled. Unfortunately, with our last move, I have been unable to find a local hairdresser who carries it, so I have struggled with first one then another shampoo/conditioner combos that have all failed to measure up. Never occurred to me to look here🤷‍♀️, I happened to stumble onto it, order this small bottle just to verify it really was Sebastian, and I am in heaven! My hair is SAVED🤣. I have put the large bottles on Subscribe, so that I will never be out again. After the shampoo, my hair and scalp feel squeaky clean. After the conditioner - I've washed my hair three times with it - and it has improved with each wash, now the comb glides through my wet hair in the shower. When dry, my fine - and oily - hair feels light and silky, just as I remember, and stays light all day! I have always had to wash my hair daily, but while I was "lost" without Sebastian, it would be either so dry it was uncombable, or flat and oily by noon - depending on which of the shampoos I was trying. All fixed! Thank you Amazon! I am pitching a huge box of half-used disappointing hair products now that I have access to Sebastian again!😁 Very Happy! (Yes, it almost feels like a religious experience...😉)

This clarifying shampoo is a total game-changer! It deeply cleans my hair and scalp, removing all the buildup from styling products, dry shampoo, and oils. After using it, my hair feels so light, fresh, and super clean without feeling stripped or dry. It gives my hair a nice shine and makes it feel bouncy again. I like to use it once a week as a reset, and it makes such a difference. If you feel like your hair needs a fresh start, I definitely recommend this shampoo. Love it and the smell is amazing!

Great shampoo. Trying over Aveda & Kenra. Very happy. Will purchase this brand again. Saved my hair. I have long, fine auburn hair. On the dry side. Worked better for me than the above brands. Not much scent- I do prefer more scented shampoos & conditioners. I bought off their website using the Amazon link- go to S.D website, you'll find the Amazon link when you place an order. The bottle was bigger than expected- thought I was ordering a travel/sample size. Good value for money. Don't need a ton either. I paired the Moisterizing Conditioner with this shampoo- works great. My hair does not feel weighed down. Just soft & healthy. Update: had to stop using it. My hair turned oily after a day. Tried 1 of their other shampoos. Same thing. How unfortunate.

A bit pricey but worth it.

first, I am very unhappy that both my shampoo and conditioner arrived damaged. I lost half of the product on both items. I contacted Amazon about this. I did manage to try what was left out of the bottles. I feel that this is perfect for fine/thin hair like mine, it's very lightweight and makes my hair immediately feel healthy and look shiny, These did not make me feel oily or weighed down at all. however, I am not a fan of the smell, it reminds me of a men's cologne. The scent did not last too long and I do use a leave-in conditioner, so the smell of my leave-in did cover any cologne scents. I feel that Sebastian Dark Oil is perfect for anyone with fine hair. Overall I do like it, I am waiting for Amazon to refund me for the damaged bottles and I will repurchase these. I also want to mention, that anyone saying that Amazon is selling fake Sebastian products, well, I reached out to Sebastian who is owned by Wella, Both Sebastian and Wella got in contact with me and informed me that if you go through their website and click on the sold at Amazon, then they are Legit. if you just search Amazon they cannot guarantee if those are fake or legit. I would recommend these.
