Nice
It’s too small for the price but it’s worth it

Do not recommend it
Over all the clay jar is OK but too small for any kind of food dish. The picture showed much bigger jar. I also smelled unpleasant odder but maybe it came from the box it was shipped in. I returned it since I could not use it for anything. The seller did not refund the shipping charges and he also did not fully refund sales tax I paid – he kept few cents, no idea why. I would not recommend the jar nor the seller.

Works great, tasty, thick yogurt
I agree with another reviewer that the pot has a funky odor but thus did not seem to affect my yogurt. I am vegan and I make soy yogurt. It tends to be much more whey-y than cow milk yogurt. This pot fixes the problem wonderfully; porous clay allows the excess moisture to evaporate and the yogurt stays thick and creamy. Two thumbs up!

Very Stinky and Pungent smell …
I have seen earthenware pot used at my home since childhood but never smelled or heard about those smelling so stinky. It’s a very pungent smell and it’s my 5th day of seasoning. The smell is in all over my house and no matter what I do I can’t get the smell out. I have tried seasoning it with Ghee, coconut oil and even boiling milk in it, nothing works even after 5 days. And I tried 2 different kinds from this seller both has the same stinky smell. Feels like I wasted $100 on 2 of these products.

Great Yogurt Pot
Amazing, perfect size for my yogurt maker. Holds just enough for about a week of yogurt. The curing process was easy, too.

sweet, creamy yogurt
The pot comes in 3 sizes but the small one (28 oz) is just right for a batch of yogurt that will last a week in the refrigerator for one person. The yogurt is sweeter because the alkaline balances the acidity (or that's what I've read, anyway it is quite sweet). It is creamier because the unglazed clay draws some moisture out of the yogurt -- the outside of the pot actually turns a chalky white . It's not as thick as greek yogurt but definitely thicker than yogurt made in glass or metal. I love this yogurt and I will probably buy a second pot so that I can make a new batch before the old one runs out. Highly recommend.
