I’ve been using the Hot-Shot Power-Mite for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s compact enough to fit in my pocket, but don’t let the size fool you—it delivers just the right amount of power to move stubborn livestock without overdoing it. It’s super handy for close-up work, especially in the chute. I also appreciate that it works well even if the animals are wet. It came ready to go with batteries and a strap, which was a nice bonus. Great little tool for daily farm tasks!

Well, I’m no farm girl so this was a learning experience. It was purchased after a dog pile fight that ripped a dog apart and we couldn’t break it up. We realized a nasty snap would have saved the dog from tremendous pain and injury without leaving a dog injured. The subjects may have PTSD but it didn’t end up in the ER like the other one. It also doesn’t cause injury. It is not unethically painful. Ask me how I know. It would be good for a quick attention getter or point to STOP whatever you are doing, person or animal. Ask me how I know. PS- It will hold a charge after engaging it without a contact point. Ask me how I know. It will put you in Check but will not harm or injure you. Will it get a convict off you? Will it break up a fight? Will it stop an attack? Yep. Ask me how I know.

I measured 2,000V with my electric fence tester. Nice jolt. I just wish this could use Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V batteries (which last much longer in storage). This will only work properly with regular alkaline batteries.

The button operation on this thing didn’t even last 2 days. I thought it was the batteries so I took it apart and replaced them. With new batteries installed, still didn’t work. Took a voltmeter to it to find that the capacitor wasn’t working. Complete garbage! I need to know how to a reimbursement, because this was a waste of time and money.

I bought this instead of a standard taser because of a girl on TikTok. Since I have to occasionally deliver while I’m at work, I wanted something to protect myself while I’m out and about. Being female, I don’t feel like you can ever be too safe. I haven’t had to use it yet, thankfully, but it gives me peace of mind knowing I have it. It does take batteries (I didn’t pay that close of attention when I bought it). It fits in my back pocket just fine.
