Developed by da Vinci brushes in Germany, Casaneo is the latest breakthrough in synthetic brush making. In 1983, da Vinci invented the multi diameter synthetic brush with their best selling Cosmo top Spin line of watercolor brushes. Casaneo uses a new "wavy" or "crimped" fiber that yields stunning results. Excellent for watercolor, gouache, acrylic, silk painting, calligraphy, with ink and for sketching, Casaneo is like no other synthetic brush. A favorite brush of the Urban Sketchers movement. Made in Germany, certified green manufacturing with sustainable wood handles from European forests. Review: Great - Great brushes! The set includes excellent sizes, they look beautiful, feel comfortable, and hold water and pigment well. I highly recommend them! Review: My new favorite brushes! - I have an embarrassingly large collection of watercolor brushes—mostly natural hair (kolinsky sable, red sable and squirrel) and until now, had never found a synthetic brush I wanted to use. The Casaneo brushes have definitely changed that. They have a fabulous point that allows fine detail even in the largest brush, hold and release water beautifully, and have the perfect combination of flexibility and snap for me. I am completely sold on these, and find myself reaching for them over my “nicer” more expensive natural hair brushes. ## Features - 498 Casaneo Quill Set (Sizes 0, 2, 4 )synthetic watercolor brushes - Features a new "wavy" fiber developed by da Vinci that allows for high color absorption and a soft feel while still coming to a perfect point or edge - Generously sized and hand shaped, its unique point allows for full strokes across the paper, while coming back to a perfect point - The Quill round is excellent for watercolor, gouache, acrylic, silk painting, calligraphy and ink and sketching - Casaneo is the favorite brush of the Urban Sketchers movement. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07XV6JQG5 | | Best Sellers Rank | #56,723 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #27 in Bright Art Paintbrushes | | Brand | da Vinci | | Brand Name | da Vinci | | Bristle Type | synthetic | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 108 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04017505002626 | | Handle Type | Wood or Plastic | | Item Type Name | Artist Brush Set | | Item Weight | 18.14 g | | Manufacturer | da Vinci Brushes | | Manufacturer Part Number | 5515A2 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | None. | | Material | Synthetic | | Material Type | Synthetic | | Model Number | 5515A2 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Paint Type | Multiple | | Set Name | 498 Casaneo Quill | | Size | Set of 3 | | Unit Count | 3 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** da Vinci - **Bristle Type:** synthetic - **Color:** Black - **Material:** Synthetic - **Size:** Sizes 0, 2, 4 ## Images ![da Vinci Brushes 498 Casaneo Quill (Sizes 0,2,4) Artist Brush Set, Black, 3 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51RiJi3nWGL.jpg) ![da Vinci Brushes 498 Casaneo Quill (Sizes 0,2,4) Artist Brush Set, Black, 3 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41mBqrA7d-L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by A***A on March 26, 2025* Great brushes!
