This is the best pet stain remover ever! It cleans tough stains and spots from the carpet. I have dogs and white drapery in front of my patio door and it gets really dirty from the dogs. I spray this on the drapes and the dirt just rolls off them! I will never be without this cleaner. It works on clothes too!

I first tried Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover in 2010 when I was preparing to sell my three-story, fully carpeted home. When I moved into the idyllic house in the countryside in 1987, my retired parents, my third wife, my youngest son, our German Shepard, and our three cats were all part of the moving package. As you can imagine, after nearly a quarter of a century of sharing a home with such an assorted cast of family and furry friends, there were quite a few spots on the wall-to-wall carpeting to be dealt with before placing the house on the market. When I picked up the materials for this massive cleaning project I purchased a couple of spritzer bottles of Folex to deal with spots ranging from spilled juice to kitty fur balls and other pet accidents, to beer and/or wine spots on our pool table, to only God knows what else. I had never tried Folex before those shopping and cleaning chores, but I was impressed by the product's plain, straightforward, no-nonsense labeling and that it was reasonably priced for what it claimed it could do. I wasn't sure Folex was up to removing the variety of spots it would have to address, but I had no cause to worry. After reading and following the label's brief and simple directions, I discovered that Folex was fully capable of dealing with every kind of carpet stain throughout the house. With nothing other than a bottle of Folex and a roll of paper towels, I was able to remove every nasty little swath of crud that had accumulated over the years. Since that time I have never used any other carpet spot remover. I live in an apartment now and I still have kitty cats, so Folex is still an essential component of my cleanup ensemble. I will never even consider switching brands. I am convinced it is the best spot remover marketed today. Now, a brief word or two on my star ratings. I gave Folex 5 stars for "Scent" because it is unscented and that's the way I like it. And I rated Folex 4 out of 5 stars for "Deep Cleaning" because I assume it will be as effective as a deep cleaner as it is a casual spot remover. But because I have never actually applied the product as a deep cleaner, this rating should fall into the "Probably Great" category. I can almost guarantee that if you try Folex, you will never use another brand of carpet spot remover.

This is a great product—it works well on furniture as long as you follow the instructions. It’s a lifesaver! I have beige furniture and kids, so stains are always an issue, and this takes them right out.

I wish I learned about Folex carpet cleaner years earlier. Since college, I’ve always relied on home Bissell carpet cleaner machines to handle any carpet stains. I was never a fan of the scent of their carpet detergent (green bottle), which to me always smelled like cigarettes to me. I’d often follow-up any carpet stains cleaning with a round of hot water extraction without any Bissell detergent mixed in, just to lighten up the scent. The proof of how well the Bissell worked was always in how dirty the extracted water was good enough to offset the particular detergent scent. When I later had a dog, and they had an accident, I would continue to use the Bissell, and even but their robo-spot cleaner, which was quite convenient. Nevertheless, whenever I spilled some coffee or soft drink onto the carpet, it was too big a hassle to get out the Bissell, so I would just use Resolve spot cleaner. Not a fan of the scent of that either, but it was good enough without having to whip out the Bissell. But when my last bottle of Resolve was used up, I decided to see if there was anything else on the market that worked well.did the Amazon search and was shocked to see this generic looking Folex carpet cleaner with over 200k reviews, so highly rated. I couldn’t believe I never heard of something that so many people swear by, so I ordered a bottle. Absolutely works very quickly, better and faster than Resolve, and does so without any harsh scent. It was amazing how easily it worked, with just a paper towel. With other spot cleaners, a lot of elbow grease is required and I;d often need to get a cloth out to rub the stain very vigorously. With Folexm however the stain was gone with only 1-2 second of effort” including some sticky stains. Just magical. I will never use a different spot cleaners again.
