The rival in this PSU set is the Michigan wolverines which worked out nicely in our household. I actually bought this set in order to use the helmets on a football birthday cake. So perfect size for using as decorations on a cake. But be aware that this is not a high-quality checkers set. The playing pieces are plastic football helmets and initial setup requires you to peel-and-stick the logos (no logo for PSU, just the blue stripe for the helmet, so true to real life) and helmet stripes and attach a flimsy plastic facemask to the individual helmets.

A perfect gift for my board-game and Ducks-football-obsessed son but be aware that this is not a high-quality checkers set. Initial setup requires you to peel-and-stick the Ducks logo and attach a flimsy plastic facemask to the individual helmets. In our set the opposing team was UCLA (?) - a conference rival, I suppose, but an unexpected choice.A worthy gift for the diehard Ducks fan at a fair price, but you get what you pay for.

My friend is a Gators Fan and has everything you can think of relating to the Florida Gators. EXCEPT this neat game of checkers! He was shocked that I even FOUND such a thing! He loves it and has placed the set on his cocktail table. The set is well made. Looks EXACTLY as shown on website. It made a great gift and one very happy Gator fan delighted with his gift. THANK YOU!!!

I bought this as a gift for my father. I thought that it was a really cute game. I like that the checker pieces were sports helmets. It could be used as decoration or for actual use.

Overall Checker Set quite smaller than I expected. Haven't opened (Xmas present), but from appearance of box, the game pieces (helmets) might be the size of a quarter.

Bought this game for Christmas for the kids who love football. The game is great and they got the BYU/Utah rivalry right!

This is a fun set for the BYU fan but it is a little cheap. My kids still have fun playing with it though. The thing they struggle with is what to do when their helmet becomes a king.

Kinda cheap made. Very cute. It doesn't tell you that the other team is the gators. Changed the helmet decals to miami. Ok product
