mine is 3 1/8 wide X 4 7/8 long. that is the surface area in contact with what your sanding

Come with the sand paper disk ?

No, it did not. You should select the coarseness you need and then purchase the disks. I had mine at hand and the mouse worked very well.

Can you cut your own sandpaper to it or does it have to be a disc?

It is designed to work with round hook and loop sandpaper. They fold up the sides perfectly and attach without any other mechanical fasteners or such. You could cut your own and hold or tape it on I suppose but that would defeat the design. Really works well as designed.
