Arrived Unsealed and Defective Exposed Wiring and Detached Lid
The product arrived in the shipping box in good condition, and the outer box was fine. However, the inner bag was not sealed, and the box itself wasn’t sealed either. When I removed the arepa maker from the already open bag, there was no seal on the appliance. Upon inspecting it, I realized that the top lid was completely detached. Beneath this loose lid, the area where the heating element and all the electrical wiring is housed was fully exposed.

Recientemente compré esta plancha eléctrica para hacer arepas de la marca IMUSA, con capacidad para 2 arepas simultáneamente. En general, estoy bastante satisfecha con su desempeño, especialmente si quieres preparar arepas de forma rápida en casa. Para mí, este modelo de IMUSA es una muy buena compra si te gustan las arepas y quieres un aparato dedicado que lo haga de forma rápida y consistente. Le doy 4 estrellas porque cumple la mayoría de lo que promete, pero con las expectativas claras (no es un dispositivo profesional de alta gama, pero sí muy funcional para uso doméstico). Si haces arepas de forma frecuente o tienes una familia o invitados, este “dos ranuras” te conviene. Si lo usarás muy esporádicamente, igual vale la pena evaluar si el espacio/uso lo justifica. ¿Lo recomiendo? Sí — Si buscas una solución práctica para preparar arepas en casa sin complicarte demasiado, este aparato es confiable, fácil de usar, y entrega buenos resultados de forma rápida.

La facilidad con que ahora hago arepas en México, es magistral. La textura, la temperatura, lo tostado me recuerdan a los desayunos familiares en Venezuela. Antes de irme al trabajo me preparo dos y en cuanto me visto ya están listas. Las relleno con toda vaina y son los mejores desayunos. En la noche es lo mejor porque llegas cansado, sacas la masa que hiciste en la mañana y Pum!! 2 AREPAS más poelpecho. Sabroso cará!

Maybe it is good in the US but I could not test it in Europe. Delivered with the US wall connector and no adapter for Europe. Apart from that it is rated 120 volts only. What a pity
