Worked fantastic to remove a car windshield!
If you're considering removing a car windshield yourself, do yourself a favor and buy this wire. I replaced the windshield in my Jeep Wrangler twice. The first time I bought a pull knife which is the standard tool used to cut out a windshield. The pull knife was completely useless. It would not cut anything! I tried to remove the windshield in one piece, but it broke into a million pieces, I cut myself. It was a mess. The second time, I didn't want to repeat that nightmare, so I researched alternative methods. I came across this Tool Aid Windshield cut-out wire. This was the best ten bucks I ever spent!!!! I put duck tape around the outside of the windshield to protect the paint. I cut a length of 15-20' of this wire. I used two pieces of wood as handles. Pull off the outer molding, tuck the wire under the corners of the windshield on the drivers side and gently pull the wire back and forth from the passengers side so the wire saws through the urethane seal. It took less than 5 minutes to cut the entire seal. The urethane seal was smoking! I was laughing as I effortlessly cut the seal around the entire windshield. Cuts it like butter!!!!! I threw my old pull knife in the garbage immediately. This worked awesome! I will never use anything else. Absolutely the right tool for the job. You will be amazed. Couldn't be happier! This stuff Rocks!

Good enough for occasional user
Worked great with pvc pipe handles to remove backhoe windshield. Broke a few times but cut about 16โ of sealer. Pretty happy with it.

Worked great.
I used this to cut the urethane sealant holding the back glass to my f250. It worked perfectly. I only used about 3ft of line. It worked like a charm. It is extremely tough and did not break. Be prepared to use some elbow grease.

Lost Time Calling 75 Glass and Wood shops
Some guy just left a $1200 vessel sink vanity on the street because it had mold in between the glass top and the formica cabinet underneath. Easy fix, so i thought. Lost hours and frustrated my wife calling 75 or so glass and wood shops and absolutely no one would touch the project except some online outfit that was recruiting jobs for local guys that are starting out or donโt have the work. So I called a handy man named Dave. My wife said a wire knife would work and she was right. Dave said order this stuff and it took him 5 minutes to have not only the glass top off but also the vessel sink. Took me 5 minutes to clean the mold and 30 minutes to clean off the the water based silicon which is the entire problem. Got some formica primer, urethane based paint, and 120 grit and we are good to go. Love this wire. only used 1 ft of it so have plenty if anyone needs some. Just reach out.

Eat your wheaties. !! ! Be patient and take your time find the right leverage.
This stuff worked but was extremely hard too use. If you can position yourself where you can use a lot of force. Wrap it around the corner and start going back and forth till you mak it though and can see the wire on the inside. Then undo it for the wood or whatever you are using to hold it. Pull one end till the other end can be accessed From the inside and have someone work it from the inside while you tug from the outside. Get it going and smoking and start pulling hard while maintaining the friction it starts to cut somewhat alright. I put a fan inside the vehicle so no smoke smell would stink up my interior. I used this to cut out a 2015 ram 2500 window. Worked me to death. Watch out for inner panels as it will cut into them. Some of it I cut out with two people. One on inside and one on outside of vehicle. And some I did by myself. I used a plastic spatula on the lower portion. Slide it in between the wire and the dash to keep from cutting into it. And repositioned as needed.

Works where others fail
I had some pretty tough urethane holding my windshield. I bought and tried many different tools as well as run of the mill piano wire, none of them worked. This stuff works amazing well. It would slice through 4 - 6 inches of urethane with each pull. Got the windshield out in about 15 minutes. It did break once, but there's more than enough to get one windshield out.

Brilliant - used it to 'saw' off a mirror that had been glued to the wall
This was amazing and did exactly what I hoped it would (which was not really what it is supposed to be used for!). It arrived quickly and packaging and product were all in good shape. I had done some research online and I bought it to 'saw' off the super strong glue which our previous house owner had seen fit to glue a mirror to the wall with. How annoying for us, because I hated the mirror. Needed a fair bit of elbow grease, but it was a fantastic buy and did exactly what I wanted it to. I confess I gave up part way through and got my husband to finish it. He made very short work of it. We didn't even break the mirror! I recommend watching a little video tutorial if that's what you are going to be using it for. It was helpful for us. The glue left behind a bit of a mess on the wall that needed filling in, but that's nothing to do with this product. You would definitely need to use some sturdy gloves to use it for this purpose as you will hurt your fingers otherwise. I'd highly recommend it for sawing glued on mirrorrs off walls, but can't testify to its' use as a windshield cut out...

Product Work Great. Very Disappointed At The Fact That I Also Ordered The " T " Handles For This Product At The Same Time, And Figured Because Both Items Were In STOCK, And Were Ordered From The Same Company, At The EXACT Sametime That Both Items Would Have Been Shipped Together. Instead Of Receiving The Wire And Waiting Up To 5 Days To Get The " T " Handles.
