SVA Thyme Essential Oil, Glass Bottle with Dropper, 4 Fl Oz (118 ml)

I’m sure others have different uses for it, I used it for a science-based tick repellent; a robust study found that thyme, citronella and clove are the most effective essential oils against ticks. I made a mixture of 95% liquid coconut oil, 2% citronella, 2% thyme and 1% clove, and was one of the few people I spoke with who didn’t get any ticks attached at a 4-night music/camping festival. I found the smell pleasant, your mileage may vary. It did all I asked of it so I’m pleased, found this to be reasonably priced with good reviews.

I was reading the benefits of thyme essential oil for snoring on a brochure for a pure essential oils company that was charging $40-60 per bottle. I am like what the what. Let me fingers do the walking on Amazon. I came across this product & ordered. It was delivered next day, free. Yep, I'm a Prime addict. Drop one dapper of the oil in the diffuser (mine has a reservoir for the oils) along with eucalyptus. It's lights out in about 15-30 minutes. The scents is very strong and the smell takes getting use to, but it works. I get sound night's sleep. Try it!

When I first received the product, I thought there was a problem with packaging as I didn't see the typical top in a bottle of essential oil that only allows one drop out at a time. I complained about this to amazon. Later, when I was about to discard the box, I found a great dropper, that even has a specially designed narrow tip that works very efficiently with my diffuser. I find this 4 oz bottle to be a good value. Thyme oil is even used by remediators, in a product called Benefact, to deal with environmental issues. I use the thyme in combination with other oils, such as lemon eucalyptus.

Strong herbal multi use

I love the smell of a cleaning spray which has thymol in it as an active ingredient, so I purchased this to see if it replicates the scent of the cleaner. The oil has a smoky smell to it. This is my first time dealing with thyme oil so I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to smell but about six hours after I used a few drops in a room the scent mellowed into a more familiar fragrance of my favorite cleaner.

Has a great smell and repels pests. However the bottle leaks. We travel often and if the bottle is not perfectly upright, it leaks everywhere.

I mixed the thyme with citronella essential oil and grape seed oil. I put it in a spray pump bottle and sprayed my skin while I was on a fishing trip with my husband. He did not like the smell. He said I smelled like tar. I thought it was a pleasant smell. When the gnats started coming out, my husband was bothered by them swarming his face. I didn’t have any problem with the gnats. Not one wanted anything to do with me. I would much rather have people think I smell like tar than to have deet or some other chemicals sprayed on my skin. Natural remedies are way better than chemicals on your body any day. Glad I purchased the thyme.
