Absolutely awesome - makes cutting bread a joy
When my wife asked to upgrade from our 8” Henkels bread knife I was a bit skeptical if we really needed to. But she’s been baking bread non-stop since the pandemic and has a 50lb bag of flour, so anything to support that seemed worth taking a shot at. I have to say, the knife is gorgeous to look at, super long and super sharp. I was shocked at the difference this knife made for cutting bread. It goes just straight through without squishing the bread at all. It actually made me ENJOY cutting bread, which is an odd thing to say. Totally worth and would highly recommend for any home chefs.

Cuts well
Cuts bread and other things well, and could be useful for cutting soft vegetables (tomatoes, eggplant, etc.) without smashing them. Nice knife. Quite sharp.

Excellent knife!
I have this as a gift to my mother-in-law, an excellent bread baker, and she loves it! It comes in an impressively beautiful box that was ideal for a present. She and her husband both say it cuts bread amazingly well. Highly recommended.

Good value for money
I replaced an old Wustoff bread knife that lost its sharpness-- well over a decade old and never sharpened. It seems that most bread knives are too difficult/too expensive/not worth sharpening. I had planned to get an expensive one and keep it forever, but it seems like that is not a practical approach for serrated knives. After a lot of research, I decided to go with something less expensive and replace it (hopefully in 8-10 years). I have had this knife for about 1 month and I use it a lot-- for pineapples, bread, watermelon etc. etc. I really like it and it seems quite sharp. Upon arrival, I noticed that the blade was not perfectly straight and also the blade is somewhat thin, but not terribly so. I kept it and have been happy with performance give the trade-offs mentioned above.

Good Bread knife
The bread knife seems to be good. I have cut maybe 20 loaves with it at this time. It cuts better than the other 2 knives that I have. Seems to keep its sharpness. I am always looking for something better.

Disappointed
I bought this knife to complement an 8" Miyabi Kaizen, which was having a tough time with bigger artisan loaves, tending to crush them and break the crust rather than slice smoothly. Also too short for some of my loaves. This knife comes highly recommended as I am sure you are already aware. Initially, I was impressed by the sharpness and ease of cutting through the loaf. It has a slightly curved blade and minimally offset handle which makes cutting through the bottom crust much easier. I thought my knife problems were finally solved! But - I was wrong. Both of us had difficulty cutting consistent thickness slices. Even when I paid careful attention the blade veered off of a perpendicular angle. At first I thought it might be due to the way the cutting edge is manufactured (although it isn't much different than the Miyabi, which with I never had problems cutting even slices), but then I thought that it might be due to the blades lack of torsional resistance. Yes, it is longer than the Miyabi, but it very easily twists in my hand, without very much force required. I imagine that the blade doesn't cut straight because it flexes slightly while cutting through the firm crust on my bread. Voila! As much as I like the knife (weight, balance, handle, sharpness) this is not a lifetime bread partner, not for me. It is a pity too, because this is not an inexpensive knife.

Wicked sharp. Hard to find faults
I bought this after about 4 years of waiting. Boar D' Laise on a foodie forum recommends it as the best breadknife available. After handling it, even my anti-knife dad agrees. Bread can be cut freehanded into slices 1 mm thick without crushing the bread. My only quible is the handle is a little square feeling. Knife looks a bit dowdy. Ergos, blade, fit and finish, are top class.

Best bread knife I’ve ever used. Super sharp. I use it for my home made bread and it cuts through it like paper. With My previous cheap knives I’ve used I would end up squashing the bread to try and cut it. It’s now effortless with half the mess as well. Thoroughly recommend this knife

An amazingly sharp knife. No more sawing, just slicing. There is a slight bias to the cut due to the nonsymmetrical edge but can be corrected with some slight twisting while cutting. The slightly curved blade prevents the dreaded knuckle scrape while cutting. Enjoy.

Wow. Just wow! Like many others I jumped on the sourdough bandwagon and struggled with cutting it, even with my expensive Costco set. This knife cuts through my loaves like they are made of butter! I don’t even need to apply pressure! Worth every penny to have smooth, even slices in the bread I work so hard to make. ... I may have to hide it from my husband lest he use it for something other than bread! The horror! lol

I was hesitant with the price, but my past knife was ruining my sourdough bread. I have used this knife now for the past two months and couldn’t be happier! It cuts through my fresh sourdough’s hard crust and soft crumb like a hot knife through butter!!! I will have this knife for life and will have a better one for it.
