I have used it on intelligent mode since getting it about 3-4 days. It definitely humidifies the dry Bay Area California bedroom. Light turns orange when humidity hits below around 45%. It’s been purple most of the time between 50-60% humidity. But it never seems to turn itself off, keeps going and going and it was 70% in the morning when I woke up and the water completely out but it turned itself off properly. The water does not last that long 6-10 hours maybe on intelligent mode. The white air coming out looks like it’s always on high though. I’ve been refilling probably twice a day as I’ve been running it 24 hrs. It’s easy to fill from the top with a Brita water pitcher. It’s super quiet. The light is not distracting at night. I have not tried the essential oils tray yet. I haven’t tried to clean it yet. My old humidifier always had an orange colored mildew buildup inside that I scraped off with an old toothbrush every week. Update after two weeks consistent use. It’s very quiet. It certainly humidifies master bedroom very well. I leave it on intelligent mode all the time. Water must be refilled at least 3x per day in intelligent mode. If I turn it off the humidity drops to about 40 very quickly. Turn on and it’ll increased humidity to 50 within 30m, then to 60% within a couple hours. A couple times though I left on overnight and in the morning it was 70% and still going. I would have thought the intelligent mode turn itself off. 70% seems a bit high. Overall very pleased with the performance as it keeps the air from being too dry. Last update. Very happy with the humidity performance. Works quickly to moisten the dry air. It’s very quiet. I never hear it at all. The light is not too bright like my prior humidifier. So I just leave it on as it’s not a distraction when sleeping. I was covering my old one with a towel to try to dim the light by 80-90%. It’s basically on 24/7. If humidity level hits 70% then I shut it down for a few hours and give it a rest but by evening I usually have to put it back to work. I’ve only cleaned it once after 2wks use and there wasn’t much of anything to clean.

A friend was raving how much she loved her new Geniani humidifier so I had to jump on this wagon and get one for my own. I noticed after using it only one night with it running a couple feet away from my bed, that I woke up feeling more refreshed and had a deeper sleep. Without humidifiers I often wake up with a very dry throat, due to some snoring and the dry air in my room from a heater running. But not the first morning after having the Geniani running on intermittent mode (I like how there's a sleeping function to turn off the power light) - I believe the air was so much more moist that my throat was taken care of during the night. This Geniani machine has so many incredible features that I could write several paragraphs on it. So I'm going to list the essential pros that I personally enjoy the most: - It's QUIET - I don't hear any motor noises unlike other competitors' ones. - During hotter days, the cool gentle mist feels amazing and cooling when it falls onto my skin and wafts past my face and head. I don't have air conditioning in my apartment, so when summer arrives and the heat swelters outside and my room becomes stuffy, I can't wait to have this machine near my chair when I'm chilling or watching movies and experience its cool down effects. - Sooo Easy to refill. I use distilled or ultra filtered water and you just pour new water into the top refill opening (even while it's still running). Or I can easily just lift the top off and add water there. Older and other models I have used in the past have been very messy with water splashing everywhere when trying to carry the basin to the sink and back to the base. The Geniani is very well-thought out and I can tell the inventor has put great care in its production. - The air in my room feels much more clean and my lungs feel healthier. - I practice hot yoga and now with shelter in place orders due to COVID-19, I have no studio to go to and have to practice in my room on Zoom. This humidifier has helped me create an atmosphere similar to my hot and humid Bikram yoga studio. I simply crank up the heater in my room and put the Geniani next to my yoga mat and it feels like I am in a virtual humid yoga room again - and when I'm laying down in savasana at the end of class and looking up at the Geniani perched on my barstool above my head, I see the glorious cooling mist, ever so gently gliding down onto my face...like a slow motion waterfall...wispy cooling clouds, helping me relax and I smile knowing I have truly invested in a great product. Thank you Geniani for creating a fabulous machine that does so much for people's well-being. I hope you continue to sell TONS of these!

This sleek little humidifier is a WINNER!!!!!! It blends in nicely among my plants and I love that it has an option to turnoff and off every two seconds. It runs silently all day. It is SIMPLE to open and refill. My husband decided to buy two (kinda expensive) little plants that required a lot of humidity. I searched the internet for some very small humidifier and decided to try this one because I liked that it was really small and it had a nice look to it. I was VERY happy when I opened the package - it LOOKED like a quality item. Read the instructions (took 1 minute). Put it together (took another half minute). Then plugged it in and there it was - worked like a charm. I really can't even believe how great this product is and at an amazing price. Oh, and the best thing about it is that I have it on my kitchen counter and there is absolutely NO condensation on the counter below it or on the upper cabinets above it! I know, sounds too good to be true. But it is. Yes, a cordless one could be a good option. I am so impressed with this product, I am not thinking I will check out what else this company makes.

So far so good! This unit is almost silent (important for me since I have a white noise machine and didn’t want it competing with that) and works well! Unfortunately with the vault ceilings in my bedroom it only goes to purple (medium humidity) on the smart mode but that’s not the products fault, I can either get another 4L or if that’s too much I can get the mini table size one for my nightstand. Lol besides, my favorite color is purple and it’s sooo pretty to see illuminated at night! I will update if anything arises, but their 2 year warranty (3 years if you register your device when you get it) seems like a good buy! UPDATE 3/9: after cleaning the unit it stopped working so I put in for a replacement. In the interim it got so dry in my house without a humidifier that my sinuses were burning and I felt sick. Got the new one yesterday and it puts out barely any mist! Tried using the original one again as I didn’t want to feel physically awful without one again like I did the first time and magically it started working again. Except for sometime in the night while I was sleeping last night, it stopped working as well and when I woke up the unit was on orange and still almost full. Turned it off and back on and it’s working fine. So I have a brand new unit that doesn’t put out the correct amount of mist and one that does but apparently when it feels like it. I am so bummed. I’m not a masochist I swear, but I want to try for another replacement if the original one keeps only working when it wants to. I really like the overall design and quietness. PS reached out to Geniani on their website for any help/tips and they never returned my email inquiry. UPDATE 3/16: ok so this unit hates it when you clean it apparently lol, works like crap after I clean it according to instructions (fairly easy to clean, a dirty humidifier can be harmful to your health just FYI) BUT if you keep it on, eventually it starts working perfectly fine a few hours later. What a finicky unit, but I’ll keep it if it keeps straightening itself out for the pros I listed above. Yeah maybe I am a sucker for punishment after all. 😂 UPDATE 4/26: unit is just finicky after I clean it, mist output is markedly decreased for a few hours after cleaning but then corrects itself every time. Going to change the rating to 4 stars, 1 star taken away for the issue after cleaning but overall it works.

I am so glad that I found this company on Amazon. As I was looking for the kind my mom told me about I could not find that kind, so when I saw this GENIANI Black model I was like that looks cool. Got the 1st one home and installed easy as ABC123, poof it was up and running. My first night cleared up my SINUSES from DRY NASTY to I could BREATHE and slept all thru the NIGHT. Been sleeping without having to wake up to stuff in my nose. I thought you only run these type of machines in the winter but I was wrong. I have a large UNIT that holds 10 gallon or more of water with 2 large jugs and it's not convenient but it worked, but I like this smaller one next to my BED because the other large unit was in the living room. So when I told my dad on day 3 that I can breathe he asked me to order him one. So we did we got it fast also and he is now sleeping thru the night as well. I cannot thank the owner of this company enough. I even got a personal letter in the mail. I plan on buying these for each room as needed. You get to TOP FILL these which is so nice. I just keep a Gallon of Extra water behind the night stands just in case you need extra water. Mine will hold 1 GALLON. IT says fill 3/4 up if you are going to sleep so you dont' have to get up and fill it. I am running my new ones all day all night. It has AUTO SHUT OFF when the water runs out and it also has a sensor. I like keeping a little UNIT I found on amazon that tells me the Digits of the AIR QUALITY and HUMIDITY. These machines are so quiet and the LED night light does not bother my father. Usually he cannot stand LIGHTS in his bedroom. But he has this one point towards his face. IT's so nice to finally buy a PRODUCT that JUST WORKS and it's PLUG & PLAY simple. I love these and will tell everyone I know that this is a well made product it does what it says. I cannot say enough about this product.

UPDATE: LEAKY PIECE OF JUNK. we purchased this in July and ran it once as a test. After our son was born and we needed to start using it in early October, it self-destructed. It actually was leaking water somehow out of its bottom, which we did not think was possible. When we reached out to the company to ask them to honor the warranty and help us to troubleshoot the issues, they did so only after my husband had corresponded with them multiple times and initially claimed that we had purchased the product more than six months ago, which we had not. We then did not receive any communication about what had gone wrong with our unit after we sent it back, whether we were getting a new or refurbished unit, etc. We only received the tracking information from them after my husband reached out again. I am going to attempt to use the one that came in the mail, which does not look like ours or a new model. I am crossing my fingers but I am extremely disappointed in this company and its product. ANOTHER UODATE: The replacement they sent also leaks everywhere and turns on sporadically. We did a bunch of research before choosing this humidifier, and although we have only had it for about a week, including one cleaning cycle, it seems to be by far the best humidifier we’ve ever had (and there have been several). In general, I feel the benefits of having a humidifier are often largely eclipsed by the hassles of trying to keep it clean and mold-free. They typically have scores of nooks and crannies, and even cleaning efforts with toothbrushes and q-tips do not always manage to keep the inner workings pristine. What clinched my decision to order this model was the fact that the water tank is top loading, and the entire lid comes off, allowing far better access for cleaning the internal surfaces than on any other water tank we’ve had on a previous humidifier; it also means fewer spills/leaks when refilling, too. You can also almost completely disassemble all the internal parts for cleaning, and the manual comes with helpful instructions for vinegar-solution cleaning. One thing that could perhaps be improved is changing the “medium humidity” light to be something other than purple, which is maybe too close to the blue color that designates high humidity when the machine is operating in smart mode. However, even having a smart mode is a really nice feature. I should also note that we are using only distilled water, which means we may be avoiding some of the hard-water-induced white dust issues that can occur. However, the white dust problem seems like it’s more the fault of hard water than the humidifier, and all humidifiers seem equally likely to produce it. We will be mainly using the humidifier in our nursery, so it was even more important to me that I can keep it running cleanly, and we are optimistic after our test-run week that, for the first time in a long line of humidifiers, with this product we will be able to achieve the goal!

My sinuses were quite pleased with this great find. When you’re away from home and away from your old, reliable humidifier, this little guy does the trick. Small enough to pack in a suitcase or overnight bag! Lasts all night on ‘intermittent’ setting. Also - super quiet! Great value for the money.

I've used this humidifier for 3-4 months of the year every year since I bought it in 2020 and it is still going strong. That feels incredible to me for a humidifier (especially because that includes many cleanings when the port got wet and water got in places I'm sure it's not meant to go). It is very sleek and extremely quiet (virtually silent). It's not the easiest thing in the world to clean, but hey that's kind of the name of the game with humidifiers and I can imagine it being much worse. They do make more sophisticated humidifiers now that I would be tempted by if looking for a new one, but I could not be happier or more impressed with this purchase.

UPDATE- DEC 2024- i bought this humidifier, in January 2024. Used it during winter. Started using it again 8 months later, this winter. But—— the filter inside the humidifier, which i cant get to, is starting to shed tiny pieces. The light remains orange all the time. Check it a couple times a day to monitor and remove all the shedding pieces. The base of the humidifier is also getting very warm to the touch, —— which is getting too dangerous for my liking . In summary, it lasted 8 months with daily use, and tap water. Great while it lasted, very attractive. But am looking for another humidifier right now. EDIT— was going to buy a 2nd one for a other room, but it has more than tripled in price. Love it. Clean the calcium build up regularly. I have to use tap water, i fill this unit up every day.

It lasted a couple of months, but it's kaput. The light still works, but no mist comes out. I really liked it so it's pretty disappointing.
