## Questions & Answers

**Q: where can i buy new springs for the 415 stretcher**
A: Linda you can buy new springs for your GoldenRod stretcher here; ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HFL7O88/ref=dp_cerb_1 ). I hope this helps you!

**Q: will this tool work to tightening 1/4" wire rope?**
A: the clamp may damage the finer wires within the cable. a turnbuckle or slip "grip" would be better

**Q: Country of Manufacture?**
A: USA(for now). They (Dutton-Lainson) also make oil cans, winches, trailer jacks, ect. This is an old design, so the patent is expired, and you can find cheap chinese knock-offs for cheap on amazon if you don't like usa made things. A bonus is they (Dutton-Lainson) have replacement parts if you want to keep an old one going. Like most things, you will probably need to contact the company for parts, only a few tool parts on amazon.

**Q: Will tho work on stretching double stranded fence wire with two 14 gauge braided wires?**
A: Yes. If it is smooth wire, it helps to give the grips a whack with hammer or pliers to set the grip jaws into the wire to grab it better. Then the tighter you go, to harder it grips.
