This was super simple to install. I didn’t even have to drill pilot holes. It took me about two minutes total to install it. It seems very sturdy and well made. The entrance to our upstairs bonus room is through our 10 year old’s bedroom, which is understandably creepy to her sometimes at night, and this makes her feel much more safe and secure. She has no problems using it. Highly recommended!!

I recently wanted to reinforce our double entry front door so I placed one of these on the top of the stationary side of our doors after reading another persons review stating that this was a good idea. It has greatly added to the strength of our door should someone try to kick it in. With this at the top, my new brace I just installed in the middle and the kick plate at the bottom I’ve greatly strengthened our front door. With home invasions on the rise I really wanted to do all I could to reinforce our door and I think it’s helped a lot. I also have one of these locks on our door going from the garage to our laundry room and I just installed one on our master bedroom door. These are great locks and they give you an extra layer of security should you need it.

I (62F) have installed these on doors in several apartments and my home. Allows a door to be quickly secured from the inside, but opened fast in an emergency. I have a door going to the basement with outside access that was a weak spot in our security - no more. The bronze is great against a wood door.
