Sturdy and easy to use!
I’m really happy with this EliteShade umbrella base. It’s super easy to fill with water (or sand if you want it even heavier), and once it’s full, it holds my patio umbrella nice and steady — even on breezy days. The material feels strong and durable, and I like that it has built-in handles, which make it easy to move when it’s empty. It looks clean and simple on my patio, and it fits perfectly with my umbrella pole. I’ve had no issues with tipping or wobbling. The only small thing is that it’s a bit bulky to move once filled, but that’s kind of expected with any heavy base. Overall, it’s a great, sturdy umbrella stand that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Totally worth it for the peace of mind on windy days!

Great so far!
I received this today and immediately went to Lowe's for sand (50 pound bag of Play Sand for less than $5) and a cheap plastic funnel set (less than $5). Assembly was pretty easy (there is a diagram that shows how to do it). Make sure to place the stand where you want it to live, as it will be heavy when you're done! I put the bag of sand into a bucket 10 pounds or so at a time (to make it easier to deal with) and used a funnel to empty it into the hole. Of course, you will need to tilt the stand to make room for more sand. When the entire bag had been emptied, I tilted the stand to attempt to spread it evenly inside, then used the funnel again to add water until it was full (leave some room for when the water freezes in Winter). Some other reviewers mentioned the following issues: 1) difficult to get the base tube all the way into the stand because of a plastic lip inside - I did not encounter this. 2) the base pole spins if windy, which can be a problem when using an umbrella with the tilt feature - I haven't encountered this, probably because of the heavy weight resulting from filling with both sand and water. Time will tell whether or not this remains the case. 3) water gets into the base tube if it rains when the umbrella is removed. I am trying to figure out some way to "cap" the base tube to prevent this from happening when not holding an umbrella.

It’s a good product for its price. Simple to use, holds the umbrella well and not shaking too much. No issues

LIGHTER THAN A GALLON OF MILK WHEN EMPTY - SUPER EASY TO CARRY AND SET UP. FILLED WEIGHTS 48 LBS!
PERFECT FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE A STRENGHT TO CARRY HEAVY METAL OR CEMENT LEADEN UMBRELLA STANDS THAT WEIGHT A TONE!!!! *** This UMBRELLA STAND WEIGHTS 7 LBS WHEN EMTPY! THAT IS LESS THEN A GALLON OF MILK!!***** - I kid you NOT! The gallon of milk weights more then this stand when it arrives to your door. It is empty plastic stand. - When you open the box, take it out and take it wherever you need it, then you fill it with water, just grab any pot or a large soda bottle or what have you and keep filling it until it is filled completly. - Then just close it with the twist top and you are done! The stand is really IDEAL for anyone who: - has a problem carrying heavy items - had any surgeries and can NOT carry heavy items - is weak and can not or should not carry heavy items - does not like to carry heavy items - cares too much about their legs, back, spine and joints to carry heavy items Perfect for those situation when: - Your balcony, deck or patio is very far away and you would need to carry otherwise heavy metal stand for a long stretch. - if you have a lot of stairs .. you can bring this stand super easily .. remember less then gallon of milk! weight worth. - if you have to store the stand over the winter in some area that you normally would struggle to carry heavy stand, this one is easy, just remove the water and you can carry it easily and store vertically if need be. I can't be happier with this item. It is fabulous concept that many people who live alone and are elderly or weaker or simply don't have a strength to deal with heavy objects finally are free to own an umbrella stand that before was prohibitive situation due to the weight. It solves once for all the issue of heavy umbrella stands! I got couple of them in strategic locations and absolutely love them. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS ITEM WORTH A NOBLE PRIZE IN SOLVING ONE WORLD PROBLEM - INSANELY HEAVY UMBRELLA STANDS THAT REQUIRED AN ATHLETE OR A CRANE TO MOVE TO POSITION.

Good Design - I Wonder About The Durability
I bought this base to make my EliteShade Atlas Cantilever Umbrella moveable. That was difficult to accomplish. I live in Las Vegas with very little rain or moisture in the air. After 6 months, this base was already rusting on the chrome-plated feet and at the weld joints on the frame. I'm thinking its going to take significant maintenance to keep it looking decent. That said, the base is very easy to set up. Filling the four tanks in the base with water makes it plenty heavy. There's trick to getting the tanks in and out of the base and each one is fairly heavy, but that's a minor inconvenience until you lean the trick. The base is very sturdy one the tanks are filled. The step-pedal mechanism for turning the base works smoothly to adjust the placement. Moving the base is tricky. The Atlas Umbrella hangs about 5 feet out from the base and weighs about 50 pounds. That means there is a significant moment-arm on the base trying the tip it over. I can lighten the base by removing the tanks on the side that the umbrella hangs and use a lever to lift the base to insert dollies under the wheels (umbrella-side first!). Two people can then move it, one holds the pole while the other moves the base. If you want the umbrella in only one place, get the kind that you bury. It will be worth the effort.

Ok stand
This is a pretty good product. I wish it were totally flat on the bottom so that it doesn’t move as much. It has held up a 9 foot umbrella pretty well.
