Best gift for my 5 year old daughter!
First off, my kids don't like to play with most toys. They like boxes, jumping around, and imagining games up. Even with knowing this, my husband and I still try to find toys that will keep their attention. With that being said, my daughter cannot stop playing with this since yesterday morning (Christmas). She has been taking it everywhere and absolutely adores it. It has really cute features and it is a virtual "pet" that needs to be taken care of. The flying is an interesting part which both my kids love to watch. As other reviewers said, it can be loud, but it's not that loud in my opinion. It does fly pretty high and all over the place, but if your child guides it, that is helpful. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and my 5 year old daughter LOVES it.

Fun interactive toy
Our daughter loved playing with her Owleez. The overall guide to learn how to take care of her owleez was easy enough for our nine-year-old daughter to set it up herself. She Absolutely loved taking care of her owl everyday. The cheat guide as we like to call it was easy to reference to if we didnt know what the owl needed per the owls eye color. As a parent I loved not having to buy batteries as its rechargeable by plug in. My daughter has been video chatting her friends showing them her new owl toy as well as having her best friend over to try it out as well. This owleez was a hit in our house. I do recommend using the flying mode outside as you'll have better luck not flying into something in your house. If you know of a child who enjoys taking care of animals this is a perfect gift for them. I'd highly recommend this as a gift. Even as a parent it reminded me of one of my favorite toys as a child the Furby. My daughter and I enjoyed playing with this toy.

This thing is insane
We bought this for for my daughter and it turned out to be one of the big hits of our Christmas. She absolutely freaked out when she opened it. Then we all got to sit around and laugh at it trying to fly (and crash over and over and over). It's a little frightening when it it does its flying thing...it sits in its nest and its head raises up and the propellers start to rev up faster and faster. And then it takes off like a drone...but a drone that nobody has any control over. It does it's best to fly around a little...but even when given quite a bit of room...it'll end up crashing into a wall or a cupboard or even the floor. Supposedly it gets better with flying over time, but the directions state that even at its best it'll only fly for about 10 seconds. And make sure to read the directions! They are quite long but describe what all the different light colors mean and mostly importantly, what to do when the head gets stuck (which seems to happen pretty often). On the downside...it feels like pretty cheap plastic. With the repeated crashes I'm not sure how long it'll last before something gets broken off. Also, the manual mentions a couple times that it is an indoor only toy. But the flying part really needs some space as you have no idea what direction this thing is going to go when it takes off. That amount of space may be tricky depending on where you live. The eyes change color somewhat randomly and pretty quickly...my daughter sometimes has trouble remembering what each color means and then doing the corresponding action before the lights have changed to some other color. Overall though...fun...good for a laugh...and slightly terrifying.

Super cute gift
We received this as a gift and It’s a really cool flying toy just be sure to make sure it’s charged all the way before trying it or it won’t fly. It’s very comparable to the hatchimal toys but this one is far better and not annoying. It promotes a nurturing quality and lets children know what it needs by the color changing eyes. It really gets the kids thinking of feelings. It comes with a guide so that the kids can read what each eye color means and how they can help their owl. It also comes with a base for charging and a chord to plug into an outlet. Overall it’s a cute gift.

Cute toy!
This is a cute toy. We bought it for my 5 year old’s birthday. Of course it doesn’t fly nearly as well as shown in the commercial, but my daughter still loves it. It took her some time to learn how to get the owl to fly without our help. My biggest complaint so far is that the charging cord is permanently attached to the nest/base. You have to connect the owl to the nest in order for it to fly which means my child is dragging it around with the cord dragging everywhere. There is a way to secure around the bottom of the nest, but it’s not easy for a child to wrap and secure on their own. I wish the cord could be removed when not charging. Sometimes when the owl has finished flying, some of the propellor pieces have to be pushed back into its head. Not a huge deal but again not always easy for a kid to fix.

Kids ages 6 &8 Review of the pet owl
Fantastic flying feature! When we first opened the Owl we thought it was going to be similar to other popular digital pets but the flying feature definitely sets this one apart. The kids practiced all of the different modes and the first time the owl took off in the flying mode they jumped up and down with excitement. The only issue is coordinating the landing and re-charging frequently after a few flights. We think this toy is still a winner and will continue to entertain the kids for a while with its flight feature. The other modes are cute but simple, it makes cute sounds and the kids liked the lullaby and when it said “I love you”. The owl also had gas and sometimes gets frustrated when it can’t fly which is cute! The cons are that after flight the wings can jam but parents can put it back easily. Unique toy and would highly recommend

Flew once!!
So I bought this for my daughter the Christmas of 2020. She was soooo in love with it but couldn't get it to do anything so I started playing with it. I got it to fly one time in 3 hours of trying... When it took off it scared the daylights out of her (whom is autistic) and the dogs and cats. Tv got knocked over and broken plants knocked over some other stuff of value as well.. Anyways the next week we were moving so I packed it away with some other toys in a tote. Last week YES 2 years later we get it out and it won't even charge!!! It makes a weird sound that you here in the hospital when your IV bag is out of fluid or has a kink in it.. Talk about creepy!! Soni decided to look them up to see about ordering a second one so we can try again.. When I seen these prices I about had a heart attack!!! I paid $25 for it now I see them as high at $109 like WOW that's just insane!!! I do not advise others to buy this unless you enjoy waisting money!!! If you like waisting money just donate the money to a good cause as doing that would teach the child something over a broken creepy plastic Owl....

Love it!
There's only one thing that is hard to do with this owl and that's gettin it to fly. It will not just fly for you. You must actually train it to fly lik a real owl has to learn to fly. It took me 3 months until I finally was able to get it to fly but beware....just because you get it to fly 1, 3, 7 or 15 times doesn't mean the next time you want it to fly, it will actually fly for you. Sometimes this owl seems so real when it comes to the different things it can do and the different things it can actually learn from you teaching it how to do things.
