After my 2yr old took a dive off the couch and onto my hardwood floors, resulting in a mild concussion, I knew it was time for a larger rug...heck, its cheaper than my er copay ;-) I chose this rug so I would not have to buy a separate pad(hopefully), it did not disappoint. The carpet is a thick enough pile that my children are just fine when they take their spills, no more injuries(yeah!!!). My 3 young girls are 3, 2(in late April), and 1(in late April), so spills are to be expected. Beware however if you have cats, im not sure what the rug is treated with(none of us noticed ANY smell, not even the typical chemically new carpet smell),but it drives my cats batty!! They all want on the rug and proceed to roll and pounce and play and fight for spots on the rug as if theyve discovered a forbidden field of catnip(I am NOT joking). Being a shag rug, this means the cat fur sticks like it was made of duct tape...so plan on lots of vacuuming(I have 5kids 3 dogs and 5 cats, so that was already part of my plan). The rug is also a great value, it looks nice, feels great underfoot, and despite being shag, does not look like it cam out of the 1970s. We are very pleased with this rug!!!

From the moment I opened the package and saw the color, I fell in love! The color is a true ivory and black, not white! It's so soft, and once I vacuumed it, it fluffed up! I bought the 5x8, but I wish I got the bigger size! There was no weird smell and when I rolled it out, it stayed flat! Buy it! You won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!

This rug looks even better in person. The black and white pattern is bold without being overwhelming and really anchors the room. It’s super soft underfoot and adds just the right amount of texture to my office space. The pile feels plush, lays flat, and fits perfectly under my desk and chair without bunching. Great quality for the price and exactly what I was looking for.

No idea why there are any bad reviews on this carpet. It’s beautiful and I’ve had it down month now with lots of moving traffic and greandkids running across it and no shedding or anything. Just did the first vacuum and it looks perfect. It’s definitely funky which is what I wanted but I looked at so many and this was the best one. It does not look cheap as one reviewer said in fact people think I paid much more. I looked at a lot were flat and the design did not look right. Oh and it’s comfortable too!! I love this carpet very happy.
