Worth buying
Awesome technology. Cool smart bulb. Download wiz app and add device following the instructions, it is very easy and fast. Once the bulb is connected with a wifi, you can control it from the wiz app. Your phone NEED NOT be connected to the same wifi. You can control the bulb from anywhere as long as the bulb is connected with a wifi. Turn on and off, schedule on and off, change brightness and colour. There are a lot of preset colour themes or you can select a colour of your choice. There are many features like rhythms, scenes and voice control with Google/Alexa which I haven't tested yet. There is a power outage recovery setting in the app. Suppose you go out of the house for a night. You want to turn the light on remotely at night. So you switch on the light using the wall switch, then turn off it using the app and leave home. Now you can turn on using the app anytime. However, if the power supply goes during this period and comes back, the light may turn on again. To prevent this a setting has been provided, viz; power outage recovery. On the control panel page of the bulb, there is a small settings icon. Go to the "power on behaviour" setting and select "last status". Also from the main settings page, turn on "power outage recovery". Now the bulb will remain off even after recovering from a power cut. However, there are bugs in this. The power outage recovery will work ONLY in night light mode and wake up mode. So you have to leave the light in either of these modes before leaving home. Even if we do this, there are still bugs in the app due to which this setting don't work properly. In addition, sometimes the schedules also are not working correctly. Developers should fix these.

Lights set go😊
It's a great device with full fledged functionality. This Device needs WIZ app for setup and it also has Alexa, Google and many more cloud integration option to control the device. The WIZ app has many modes of lightings and it also supports dimming and pulse chaser modes and the best thing is the light has power outage recovery mode so that you will never lose your settings even after power cut (when there is a power outage the light will turn off and when power is back the light will be turned off still whereas you will just need to switch on the light via wiz app and the light will turn on with last settings. Make sure to turn on power recovery mode on the wiz app) You will need a router/hotspot to be switched on all the time to set this device and to have the device running, the light will pair with wifi and your phone will pair the light via your wifi (2.4ghz only). Once the setup is done you just need to keep the wifi on all the time and you can also control the light even by mobile data as the wiz app saves the settings on cloud. If you have a room more than 120 sqft then I would suggest to go for 12watt version of this light. Cons- white light is good whereas the colors are of bit low brightness ( specially the light shades and as it's RGB it is unable to make most shades in a perfect proportion but it's more than satisfactory. Yes but the dark shades are superb) than the white light whereas we cannot complain at this price point as it giving functionality and colors at this price range. You can also set the light as an alarm with Google like to turn on the light at 5 a.m. If you ask me for my views on this device I would highly recommend this device. It will surely not disappoint you and will brighten your mood.😇

Best smart LED bulb
Purchased the 9W Philips smart LED bulb last week. Worth every penny. Great colours and light effects. It also supports music sync. Can be connected through Wiz connect app. High quality product from Philips ✔️💯

Works well... Mostly
I had to get two bulbs because one bulb didn't provide enough light to the whole room. I've been using this bulb for 2 months now and there hasn't been much issues, apart from some rare connection issues with my Wi-Fi. I mostly use it with the Google assistant to turn the lights on and off or make it dim when I'm gaming. I can also set a time to automatically switch on the lights which works well. The colors are really pretty although I stick to the warm white color mostly and keep the colorful modes for when there are kids around. There's tons of modes to choose from the Wiz app. I wish they add a music sync feature, hopefully they will add it in the future. Overall a great novelty product.

Major connectivity & privacy issues
Update 2/2026: apps got removed they launched Wiz V2 which makes me regret this purchase every single time I try to connect to the bulb. You can't just connect to a WiFi router and get it working, you need the router to be connected to the internet and the app fails to add light if it can't connect to their server which is such an insane concept. Why would I want to make my light bulb online, seriously? As of now this is a normal bulb with 2 modes: warm and cold. The smart part has been removed. Would not recommend buying this waste. Also the bulb has its own wifi but for some reason you can't direct connect to it which is a shame Bulb is bright enough on warm/cool white. RGB isn't that bright but that's expected for the power usage. Installation took a lot of fiddling around, at first the bulb didn't get detected, had to turn it on and off a dozen times, but eventually it connected. Also it gets recognised in Wiz app not Phillips app which was kinda odd. You can use the bulb with WiFi only there is no Bluetooth. I have a router that's not connected to internet but it works to control the Wifi so that was a relief. Regarding modes, you can set the priority in app. For eg, i set bright white as my default (so it functions as a regular bulb so family doesn't get frustrated) and RGB party as my secondary. I can toggle between them by turn off the physical switch for like 2 seconds and after turning on the mode changes, which is cool. It can only toggle between two modes tho. Overall in happy with the purchase, i bought this bulb for ₹500.
