compatible with toyota tundra 2002 sr-5?

You'll need an aftermarket 4 channel amplifier to properly power them. Stock 1 gen tundra speakers are 20watts. (I know cause I have a 2003 SR-5 and it's written on the back of the stock speakers).

why does it say a 600 watt speaker at the top of the ad and further down 100 Watts Max output, not100 watts rms? So which is it, 600 max or 100 max?

300 Watt Peak (each speaker), 100 Watt RMS (each speaker). I have a set of these hooked to an 5 channel alpine amp sending approx. 75 watts to each. They sound very crisp and clear with enough bass to satisfy me (in rear side panel of 2016 toyota sienna, 6x9 alpine component up front, 12" sub in rear) They have lasted for 18 months and counting without issues & i do play it loud! 600 watt is "peak" just to catch your eye. Peak is what they will handle for a very short time before blowing.
