Hot Wheels Super Blitzen

This is a good price for an ID car and it looks better in person than it looks in the pictures, a nice little car.

This is a new way for kids to play with Hot Wheels cars. This one has an NFC chip underneath which can be scanned by any smartphone or tablet with an NFC reader. Download the free app and once scanned the car is added to a virtual garage and then can be raced and levelled up in game with points earned for upgrades. The app has over 500 events to be played which will surely keep them occupied for a few hours. The app is free however it does come with the option for in-game purchases so make sure you have password protected purchases so no surprise bill!! The car also works with the Smart ID track and Hot Wheels race portal. Both of these are sold separately but are not required to use this car. I think this is a good way to play as the majority of children nowadays have access to phones or tablets, they can play online without filling the bedroom floor with cars. The car comes nicely presented in a box which does make it look more expensive but when you think about it, it's the car your paying for not the box so £7 in my opinion is a little much. I'd say around the £5 mark is more appropriate. This is good toy overall and would make a nice stocking filler (yes Christmas is coming!!) and would definitely be well received.
