Very useful for auto tail-light gasket making
Recommend. Our 2003 Subaru was leaking water into the trunk. Turns out the foam seals/gaskets were worn out. Dealers no longer carry the parts. Bought a roll of this 1/4” foam, traced the old gasket, cut it to fit with scissors and lightly glued it in. It cut very cleanly. It was perfect and made a tight seal. Did all of the gaskets on the tail section and still had plenty of he roll left over.I read complaints about the smell so I unrolled it and left it outside for a day and it was fine.Very useful product.

Great for a protective aquarium leveling mat
While not explicitly what this is made for, it's essentially the same material as many aquarium leveling mats. I used it with a 10g aquarium that, while technically is rimmed and doesn't really need a mat, is placed on wood and thus needs some added protection from drips. It's also nice to know that the weight from the tank is better distributed, even if the rim does most of the work. It's almost too thick for this purpose (it could probably be half the thickness), but it cuts quite easily with a razor for getting to be the right shape.

Protect what matters to you
I play a lot of board games that come with a lot of miniatures in a lot of boxes. What I don't have a lot of is space to store them. Some games are lucky enough to have organizers built by other companies. Many are not, so I get creative and build my own. When I do, this foam is a core component of those organizers. It's soft enough to protect delicate miniatures, while being firm enough that it doesn't tear apart when you're picking up minis with tiny swords, spikes, teeth, etc. It's easy to cut, but make sure you make multiple shallow cuts instead of trying to go all the way through in one pass, or it will tear at the end of the cut. It's also flexible enough that if you're trying to be super safe, you can mold it to the insides of whatever bizarre shape fits the fever-dream induced Lovecraftian horror that came with your latest indie game.I'm sure there are other uses for this stuff, but that's what I need it for. What could you be using it for?

not ideal to use on something it would run against for long period of time
it’s claims to be soft yet it isn’t not.. it is a hard rubber but has cushion.. not ideal for hating it on anything that would rub against skin for long period of time
