Posture Corrector, Hands-Free Middle Back Strengthener

As a physician I see people everyday who seem to coward through life with a poor self image. Often poor posture, a desk job, lack of upper body muscle strength can contribute to a general lack of zest for life. Stand up str8 is a simple yet genius antidote for lack of self esteem as well as neck, back and shoulder pain due to poor posture. I wear it at my desk to keep me conscious of my posture as well as getting more reps in per day. In just a few short weeks my new found muscles held my shoulders back naturally. The inventor is a really nice guy who apparently really cares because he called me after about two weeks to make sure I was using it properly. I wasn't, and was about to throw it out ! Do not move your elbows! Keep them tightly tucked against your sides so you are only moving your shoulders back and down. The rubber band should not be causing any chest soreness. Now I've started to recommend it to any patient who has to work over a desk or bench much of their day. Who would of thought such a little thing could make such a huge difference in quality of lives.

I'm skeptically of single purpose items that claim to be medically sound. The price was also a little high on this item. BUT - It's sturdy, with quality construction, and it does exactly what it advertises - exercises and develops those specific muscles that pull your shoulders back and down. It took several sessions to get it adjusted just right - enough demand but not too much, each strap equal length. Once that's done it takes no time to slip it on and run a set of reps. The videos are excellent for explaining and showing exactly what you should be doing. An unexpected bonus for me was that once you have a sense of which muscles to contract, if you catch yourself slouching just tighten them up, then down and rotate your pelvis to stand straight. I had some questions and they were answered by the inventor/trainer himself, so he has a hand still in the business

I have been an Amazon prime member for a long time and have bought a lot of stuff over the years. While I have never reviewed any product, I have benefitted tremendously from other good folks' reviews. I was a little skeptical about this product when I placed the order, but was also driven by all the five star ratings. It didn't occur to me at that point that ratings and reviews could be rigged in a big way, even though I was well aware of it. I have never been more disappointed with a merchant or a merchandise. First off, the product itself. Bad body posture is something very complex. It is a habit of a lifetime. For most people, it is too deeply rooted in body and mind, at a cellular level. The root cause cannot be distilled down to a weak muscle between the shoulders. The musculature and the neurology at play are intricately complex. Having used this product, I don't believe this product can be of much use to most people. While this may produce some placebo like effects in the first few days, I don't think it is going to give any lasting benefits. I don't have much of a problem with false advertising claims. I can always return a product if I am not satisfied. But I hardly ever return, because I am satisfied with my purchases most of the time. The product itself is just a like giant rubber band or a foot long stretch tube. Nothing more than that. At $55.22, it is highly overpriced. The random number 55.22 just gives the illusion of having been arrived at by some genius financial math, precise to the penny. Even if it were a good product, it shouldn't cost more than $20. The merchant called me over the phone the day after I had placed the order at Amazon.com thanking me for the purchase. This was the first time I have ever been contacted by an Amazon merchant by phone. It was an Amazon fulfilled order. I don't know whether Amazon authorizes or approves the merchant to cold call the customers over the phone. Good customer service or follow up cold calls is not a substitute for a bad product. The launch of product itself appears to have been seeded with a lot of fake reviews. For anybody who is sold on all the five-star reviews, feel free to buy this product. But even more importantly, feel free to return the product if you are not happy. Don’t be stuck with a lemon.

I'm sure this product works well for someone without shoulder, neck, or upper back injuries or defects. I used it once (I literally mean one "flex" rep) and paid for it with pain and muscle spasms for several weeks afterward. I was so hoping it would help with weak muscles in between my shoulder blades (which I believe it would on a healthy person), but underestimated how out of alignment my spine is in that area. Just be extra sure your joints and vertebrae are very well aligned before attempting. I should've consulted with my chiropractor before using it (totally my fault)!

12/2017.. updating review 6 months later. I continued to use it and I thought it might be helping, but I really don't see that it is in the long run. Doesn't seem to be as sustaining as I had hoped it might be. Still probably better to use it than not use it, but it's not providing the help for my back that I originally thought it would. It's not quite a 3 star, more like 3.5 so I left it at a 4. It has held up and seems well made. Original review. I wasn't sure about this at first. But the more I use it, the more I think I can tell a difference. I would recommend it. Seems like a lot to pay for what it is.... but it seems to do the job and that is well worth the price. Easy to take on travels too. And easy to do. I have a bad back and am constantly looking for products to help. A lot of things help a little but this is one of the few that I have found that help a lot for little effort. And helps with posture as well. This is one product that seems to deliver what it promises.
