Does a great job at removing impurities before the water runs through my water softener. Purchased and installed many over the years.

Got a Halo mini 3 system from plumbline. Called to get the filters replaced and plumbline wanted $500. Bought this 3m sediment filter and the matching 3m carbon filter. Took 10 minutes to replace. Just washing my hands i could tell the difference. Great filters!! Took a shower and oh man, my shampoo smelled amazing and quite strong (in a good way). Crazy how denver water is considered "good"... will update with pic of used 3m filter in 6 months. The dirty one pictured is the crappy HALO 3 MINI OEM Filter. Shut off your water > hit the bypass levers on your filter loop > close off the water heater pipe and throw it on pilot > put some paint buckets under the filter cubbies > press the pressure release button/valve ( water leaks out and pressure is released) > remove/unscrew housing (heavy/wet!). > clean inside of housing > drop new filters in > grease up new o rings with nsf silicon plumbers grease > screw housing back on > turn water back on > route water back through filter loop > run cold water in your furthest bath tub for 15 to 30 min > re open water heater valve > turn water heater from "pilot" to "hot". Water will have micro bubbles for up to two weeks after new filter - normal! Now you have better filters than you'd get from plumbline and you saved $300. You could take this opportunity to do your annual water heater flush too, as this is recommended by your local super mario/plumbline professional. 1.) Incredibly happy to see the water filtration system was needed. 2.)Incredibly excited about the 3m filter. to see the quality of the OEM filter plumbline gave me was terrible, made this purchase even better. You can see the difference 3M is the clear winner $500? It took me 10 min to replace the sediment filter and the carbon filter. Can't imagine what they would want to charge if I asked for 3m filters...highway robbery!!

This is the only filter we get, and we've been very happy with it. Works great, easy to install and does what it says it would do. Husband's happy, which make me happy! 😃

These filters are pricey but worth it IMO. I don't trust my family's drinking water with the non-name brands. I get about a year per filter, could probably go a lot longer but with the clear 3M housing its easy to see when they are getting dark and time for a change,

Just what I was looking for. Great price. About a year later, saved me a trip to the plumbing store. Great filter. I also have an older blue canister . The plumbing store could or would not not get the gasket that should be changed with the filter replacement. Found that on Amazon instead of having to purchase and instal a new unit. Got the filter easier than going to the plumbing store, saved a few bucks .

I use this filter in front of my expensive 3M AP917HD-S to filter out the majority of the contaminants and to make the 3M filter last far, far longer. I am on a private well for all of my water, and as you can see from my photo this filter is doing its job. This represents about 3 months of use. I also use 2 pressure gauges to show the pressure drop across my 2 filters. When the drop becomes excessive I replace this filter and then only change out the expensive 3M filter once per year.

I use these as pre filters for a system. Clearly they work well because when I change them the filter media is loaded with things it has removed from the water. My downstream treatment system works much better, lasts longer, and works more efficiently because I use these filters

Nothing crazy, exact same filter as what we had before. We did price shop a bit and found it was oddly cheaper on Amazon than it was on plumbing websites or stores. Same product, same brand. Not sure why that was.

Well, you have to buy this together with the Aqua-Pure Water Filter System as the system does not come with a cartridge. However, as per my review of the actual Water Filter System, this works better than even expected!
