Getting my 8 yr old to practise her spelling can be a bit of a chore. Her teacher said to try to make it more fun, but I had no idea how, but thought I’d give this a try! The presentation and packaging is good quality. There are 2 capital & 6 lowercase of each letter, as well as a couple of punctuation marks. I actually like that all the letters are one colour apart from the vowels. As my daughter is older I think it’s more helpful to solidify what letters are vowels and that every word must have at least one! I’m so glad that the magnetic board is included as we have an integrated fridge, so magnets won’t stick to it, but the letters work well with the board, even if it is a little small. 3 whiteboard markers are included (lids are a bit difficult to get off!) and a whiteboard rubber. I’ve been mixing up letters and my daughter spells out her words using the letters, puts them back and writes the word in a sentence using the pens. Towards the end of the week she can pick out the letters out herself as she will be more familiar with the words. It’s actually the first time I’ve got her to engage properly with learning the spellings and she says she enjoys this way much more! It’s a quality set and worth the money. I’d certainly recommend.

Very pleased with this, my 3 year old grandson loved it. Unlike many other sets, it has enough of each letter that can spell lots of words at the same time. Recommended.

I bought these for my daughter to help with learning her sounds and spelling and are very similar to what she uses in school. They are foam magnets and have both capitol and lower case letters in an alphabetised case and with a magnetic white board plus to pens. Great buy for Reception and beyond.

Good quality product, and having the vowels coloured differently to the consonants is great. We use them on the fridge for the kids' (aged 7) words of the week. The only downside I see is in not being able to order letters separately. For example, having 6 'e' letters isn't enough, and the set gives 'e' equal importance to 'z'. I would like to order a set of 25 'e' letters, or perhaps a mixed set of the most common letters. We don't use the small magnetic board at all, but I can see where a younger child might like this for individual words, as opposed to sentences.

Excellent product. Bought for my granddaughter as it's the same as they use in classroom and she needed some extra support. Would recommend it

Having the vowels in a different colour is a great help for children learning how single letters go together to build a word. The font of these letters is perfect - making the letters “a” “g” “f” “k” “y” easy to copy when first learning about print. The size difference between capital and lower case letters is good too.

Brilliant set. All the vowels are a different colour and there's plenty of letters in the set. Also it's great that it comes in a case with individual sections for each letter as our old ones just flew around the whole house

Storage box enables easy selection by the user. Bright attractive colours making their use enjoyable. High numbers of all letters to enable several words to be created at once. Vowels in a contrasting colour is extremely useful
