Maya Was Grumpy

When I read this amazingly colorful picture book at the book store, I had to have it. After reading it with my two children at home, I decided every child or adult I dearly loved required a copy. I'm not sure how many copies I have sent out. But let's just say I'm not done yet.As an author myself, I see the work behind this masterpiece. And I wish it and the author every success in a world that sometimes loses the forest for the trees.And this book is both. The forest and the trees. Awesome.

My sometimes grumpy 3 yo Maya loves this silly book and reminds her that she has the power to change her mood if she wants. Wonderful illustrations too, especially her huge hair.

My kids and I love the cover art, the storyline and especially the hair.. oh, the hair! I don't want to spoil the art or story for the reader, but the hair has its own personality. I am pretty sure it could be considered one of the main characters!Great story. Wonderful illustrations. I recommend to any parent/teacher who wants a great way to talk about feelings and how they manifest into our actions and the way we carry ourselves.FIVE STARS!

I always love a silly story, and my grandkids do too. Bought this especially for my granddaughter, Maya, who is 2 1/2, and answers NO to everything. Even she got the message that being grumpy means you miss out on having fun.

I am a little bias because the author is a friend, but I love this book! Courtney is such a talent! It's impossible not to smile while reading this book, so use it to cheer up your grump, or anytime a smile is needed.

great book and illustrations for kindergarten students. The illustrations really help them understand the vocabulary.

It was about a little girl with a big attitude. It was a neat book to read; and we were able to talk about times that we may have been grumpy.

This is a great story that includes a grandma and granddaughter which made my day. I loved reading to my own who just happens to have the same name as the girl in the book. And we both really loved the captivating illustrations. I am very very happy with this purchase.
