The LEGO® Movie 2 [2019]

Great movie

This movie did come with the 3D bluray disc along with the regular bluray, and also was tested and played ok in my Region A player with english audio for those who are wondering. :)

A sequel to the 'Lego Movie.' And since this film starts right at the point where that one ended, you won't be able to get into if you haven't watched that. We find what happened next, and then it's five years later. Everyone now lives in a post apocalyptic landscape where it's survival of the fittest and things aren't as awesome as they were. But Emmet still carries on being his same self. Lucy would rather he, like everyone else has, were to grow up a bit and start being more adult. So when a powerful warrior from space kidnaps her and other of Emmet's friends, is this the chance for him to become that man? A sequel just as good as the original. It's suitable again for all ages, as with films like that it works on different levels. The kids will enjoy the stunning animation and the fun being had. And the grown ups will get the metaphors and the in jokes and the characterisation. It has great musical numbers. Great acting from the leads, particularly Chris Pratt in a dual role. And of course Will Arnett as the Dark Knight hardcore vigilante rap machine that is Batman. It has some great surprise visual and vocal cameos. And it has an incredible amount of heart, especially with the metaphors and the life lessons that the film centres around. It also manages to come up with another bit of cheesy and incredibly catchy pop that you won't be able to get out of your head. However much you may or may not want to. great fun for kids. Of all ages. Which is how it should be. Well worth five stars. There's nothing extra of any essential nature during the credits, but the first half of them does involve a fun song that is worth hanging on for. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English, Greek, Portuguese. Subtitles: English, Greek, Portuguese. The disc goes straight into the main menu when loaded, with no trailers or ads to get through. The only extra is: They come in pieces. Assembling the Lego Movie Two. An eight minute long overview of the film, with contributions from cast and crew. Usually this kind of thing can be cursory, but this one is quite a fun watch. So it's worth a look.

Ich bewerte hier die Technik bzw Ausstattung der BluRay, nicht den Film an sich! Soweit alles wie es sein soll, allerdings Achtung: Keine deutsche Sprachausgabe. Da ich die letzten Monate an die 100, meist Second-Hand BluRays gekauft habe, habe ich irgendwann aufgegeben bei jeder einzelnen VOR dem Kauf zu checken ob und welche Sprachen enthalten sind (meist ist es sowieso nicht angegeben, wäre ja zu viel Info, das schreckt ab). Das hat immer funktioniert (ich sehe alle Filme nur auf Englisch, aber falls Besuch da ist wird halt doch meist Deutsch gewünscht). Bis heute ;)

Amazing movie and great value for money. Love this 4k UHD Blue Ray, meaning I can enjoy the movie in both formats. I pair this with 4K OLED tv and surround sound system and woooow was blown away by the image/sound everything and would avoid cinema as this is cinema at home with comfort!!!
