We have five large tubs, in which we grow tomatoes. I built cages from a roll of fencing (6" square holes), because the plants get so big ones you buy down town come off as a joke. In the past, I used bungee cords to hold the cages to the planters, or the wind takes them out. Unfortunately, the hot summer sun beats on the bungee cords. I tried string too. It worked well, but, sometimes, I had to cut the string off to tighten it, or to remove the cages, such as at the end of the season. To imply and improve on the dependability of the cords securing the cages to the planters, I went to using paracord. It worked far better, but you had to untie the knots to tighten the cord. That was a nuisance. To make it easier, I made a version of these. That helped. Digging around, because I wanted the better method I came up with to be better yet, I came across these. A much improved version of my "re-invented wheel." They turned out to be the perfect solution. Now, disconnecting the cords and re-securing them is a breeze. With the tensioners at the end of the cord, and the other end secured to the tubs, these don't get lost. SIDE NOTE: I install a cord via eye-hooks ever 120-degrees (so three on a tub).

Used them in Alsaka on the tundra. Worked great.

I bought these to hold up a shade sail in my backyard. I can’t believe how well they hold. They keep the shade in place for months without needing to be tightened. I also use them to hold up a line of Paracord that I use as an outdoor clothesline. My HOA doesn’t allow a clothesline so I put this up just for a few hours and then put it away as soon as my clothes are dry. It has been great.

They work decent

These tensioners are fantastic for securing my canopy at the beach! So easy to use and once they're under tension, they hold everything in place perfectly. I even shared a few extras with people who were having trouble with theirs, and they worked like a charm for them too. Highly recommend for any beachgoer!
