Glad I bought it in 2024 pretty awesome investment!!!
Now I got this way before the price went up. Overall, I give it a 5 star due to its being pretty awesome. But I will say this I wish bigger heating panels where provided also replacement ones just in case, wish that you were able to control the foot and main heating areas better and easier, the actual material of the whole sauna wish was thicker to include the zippers. Not sure if the red light is truly “Red Light Therapy”. Yea I know it sounds like complaints but overall the thing does get really hot fast and during. Easy to set up, definitely able to relax, easy to move around, cleaning is easy, design well as mentioned above if they were to upgrade and invest in better thicker material yea I’d buy another one oh and bigger for two people and more room yea I’d buy it again. Listen not to everyone can buy a $1K+ sauna. If you’re tight on space and money I’d recommend you to buy this one. Now if they could provide a cold plunge that doesn’t cost an arm and leg and your first child. That would be awesome.

Good product and service
PERFORMANCE -I have had this for almost a year, and I use it regularly, integrating thermal therapy into my routine for physical and emotional well-being. It works great and gives me the big sweats I’m looking for. It’s a treat to have in my home for a minimal cost. Note that ambient temperature does impact performance. It has no problem reaching high temperature in a standard living space, however it can struggle if you set it up in a garage or other colder location. I have found that draping a quilted furniture blanket or two over the top and sides helps mitigate this and allows it to preheat to over 130 degrees- which is plenty high for infrared heat. I always avoid covering the wiring/ fuse box on the back though, as it seems best to allow that to access the ambient air to cool. SERVICE- Alas, my unit did have an issue. It quit working unexpectedly after it was on for an extended period. I reached out to the company, and they worked with me to evaluate the problem. They determined that the electrical components needed to be replaced, and they sent me everything I needed to make the repair. Within a couple of weeks I was back in business- the business of enjoying long sweats. SIDE NOTE- if you’re used to traditional Scandinavian style saunas, with hot rocks and occasional eucalyptus/water steam, do what I did and get yourself a small humidifier/ diffuser and set it up inside. You can run the power in with the rest of the wiring bundle in the back of the tent. Adding the aromatherapy element has made this thing even better.

Experience with SereneLife Sauna
Due to recent developments, I have rewritten this review completely to describe the problems that I have experienced with the unit, the eventual support the manufacturer provided and to reflect a higher start rating. I have had the unit now for almost two months and my wife has done 22-30minute saunas in it so that is the extent of our experience with it. The unit heats up well, and unoccupied, it will reach 140-degrees as the specifications state. As soon as a person goes into it, the temperature drops substantially due to the body being a heat load, but in 30-minutes it recovers and gets the temperature back up to 130-degrees. If a person stayed in it long enough, I am confident the unit would climb back to 140-degrees but the person would be baked. So, the unit is heating up well. The unit is reasonably built for a portable unit, so no complain there. One problem that I have discovered is the handheld control unit that displays the internal temperature does not provide an accurate reading. It is off by approximately 15-degrees when the unit is fully heated up and less at lower settings. A work-around for this deficiency is to recognize the temperature display is only a relative indicator of the actual temperature, and to use a good thermometer to check the actual temperature. More on my efforts to get this problem resolved below. A second problem that I discovered has to do with the timer function. I set in a time for the unit to run, and the unit does not enact that setting and instead continues to use the previous setting. A work-around is to set the desired time, wait a moment, turn the unit off and then back on. The new time will then be enacted. An easy work around, and if described in the manual, it would be just fine but no mention of this quirk in the manual. In an effort to resolve these two problems, I contacted the manufacturer but response was so slow so I turned to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon sent me a replacement unit, and rather than disassemble my unit and assemble the replacement unit, I decided it would be simpler to swap out the controller, temperature sensor and handheld device. This is what I did and found the exact same problems existed afterwards. It seems these two quirky problems are just part of the characteristic of the unit. It is not a fault in the unit at all -- just the way it works. If the manufacturer described the unit’s operation better in the manual, most users could adapt to them. Unfortunately, the installation sheet is really lacking. One has to have some intuition to put it together. Many steps omitted and I got it put together through much deduction. The manufacturer did finally come on board and asked what could be done to satisfy me. My first choice was to get these two quirky problems resolved. The second choice was a momentary compensation for having a unit which I believe is not working correctly. The manufacture chose option two which we agreed on, and I am most satisfied with the arrangement. I have a unit that works reasonably well, albeit requires the use of work-arounds, but for a reasonable price too. My recommendation to anyone considering purchasing a SereneLife sauna is to understand the quirks the unit has before buying one. Personally, I think it is good value for the price and the quirks with the work-arounds are not that much of an annoyance.

VERY high EMF!
Unfortunately the EMF is EXTREMELY HIGH for this product. I say unfortunate because we loved the sauna while we had it, but I had a suspicion about the EMF, so I bought an expensive EMF reader to test it. Well, the Magnetic wave of the EMF was LITERALLY HIGHER THAN THE DEVICE REGISTERED (see photo). "Safe" magnetic waves are 3mg. This registered OVER 100mg right where you put your head and back (you have to rest your head and back against one of the heating panels). Keep in mind, this EMF is so high that my EMF reader errored out "1 - - - -". It didn't even go that high. So HOW much above 100mg is it? Who knows! Yikes... What about Electric waves of EMF? Also crazy high. Where you rest your Head/Back, it 962v/m. "Safe" levels are 50v/m. So not just a little above. WAAYYY above. I tried buying those EMF blocking sheets to put over them (I was committed!), but unfortunately those sheets only block the Electric Waves, not the Magnetic Waves. So while they might help a little, it would still feel creepy getting into the sauna. So we ended up finding a large box and returning the sauna within the 30 days of owning it. Once we can afford a nice EMF free wooden sauna, we will take the plunge and do that. Sweating is SO healthy for you! Pros: Loved sweating! Compact, Easy. Cons: Remarkably high and most likely dangerously levels of EMF. Far above what the manufacturer states. Keep in mind, you could measure in the middle of the unit and get lower (but still high) readings, however you press your head and back right next to the back panel. There's no escaping that. I tried unplugging the back one and it just didnt get hot enough. We did notice digestive issues while using it. It turns out in some studies, high EMF can affect gut bacteria. Hope this helps!

Best Portable Sauna Available
I recently purchased this sauna and so far it has exceeded my expectations. Set up was extremely easy with no issues. Once I had everything set up, all I needed to do was plug it in and turn he heaters on. I currently have been only getting temperature to 110F, but will continue to use and hopefully it will get to the desired 140F. On that same note, even with the temperature saying 110F. It still works amazing to get my core temperature up and my heart rate up. The chair that comes with it is on the small side, but so far it hasn’t bugged me. I plan on changing the chair out eventually. One part that does bug me are the heating pads. Being that had to be folded to put into the packaging, that has caused the issue with fully attaching it to the walls. They stick out a bit and once in awhile one will come unplugged, Now onto the inside of the sauna. Once I turned the sauna on, I waited about 15 minutes before stepping inside. Being I am 6’2”, the fit is tight but doable. The foot warmer is almost too hot and can only be used for about 5 minutes before it starts to become uncomfortable. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase so far and look forward to using this with my workout routine.

I am in love!
I purchased this item to see if I would like a sauna at home, and I am so glad I did! This item took my husband and I about 10 to 15 minutes to put together, suer easy to do. I was so excited to use this so as soon as we were done setting it up, I plugged it in and it took about 7 to 10 minutes to get to the set temperature. The sauna is well made with sturdy seams and zipper. I especially like the foot pad that comes with it. I did get the infrared model but I don't really know how well or effective it is. I haven't really seen any improvement in the appearance of my skin, but my joints feel tremendously better! A complaint of some is that you can't actually turn the red light off, but I just immediately unplug the sauna as soon as I'm finished. So far, I've had my sauna for a few months and I use it at least 3 times a week and I've had no problems at all with this item. I love it so much, I am going to buy two more for family members. Hopefully, I'll catch it when it goes on sale again. Note: The only negative thing I would say about this product is I wish the window was positioned lower on the door. If you use the small chair that comes with it you can't see out. Someone suggested getting a Director's chair to sit up higher if you want to see out to watch t.v. or whatever. I highly recommend this product! This home sauna is so convenient and works as well as the one at our gym.

Gave me my life back, if you struggle with addiction, GET ONE.
I've been trying to quit kratom for years and haven't been able to ever make it long term. Using this thing twice a day has given me my life back. Its essentially a way to get the mental health benefits of working out, but as often as you want. Vs with working out, you can only do it every so often without overtraining and beating yourself up. This thing gets all the happy reward chemicals flowing through my brain. I'm addition, the research shows using the sauna makes your whole endorphin system more sensitive. Elevating your mood and making you able to enjoy things more fully, even on days you don't sauna. The Andrew Huberman podcast has a great episode on the Sauna if you want to learn more. The benefits are just astounding. As for the sauna itself, it works great! My only gripe is that the instructions to put it together aren't the best. I had to figure a lot of it out on my own, but it wasn't that hard to figure out. You could easily put it together in an hour with no instructions. But a better manual would be appreciated. Other than that. It's compact, looks very nice. I expected it to be an eyesore but that isn't the case at all. It heats up super quickly, and gets VERY hot. Its easy to clean too. I've been using 70% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle to sterilize everything after each use. That seems to be working well. Don't forget to drink lots and lots of water WITH ELECTROLYTES!! Just for today friends, anyone can get and stay sober, from any substance, legal, illegal, hard or soft. (In my case legal and soft). But just quitting in and of itself isn't enough. Stuff like the sauna, eating right and exercising, getting enough sleep, cold immersion, etc etc is essential.

Not Actually Infrared - Just A Red Light Bulb - But Still A Nice Sweat Session
So this is not true infrared. This sauna is heated by 3 panels, and there is a red light bulb above that makes it look as though it could be infrared. But an infrared sauna heats your body only through infrared. That is not how this works. The setup was not terribly difficult. I was able to do it on my own in under an hour. The max temperature is 140 F, but I've never seen it get anywhere close to that. Even after running the sauna for over an hour, the max temp I've seen is 125 F. I asked the company about it and they said buy a different thermometer and try it because probably their thermometer isn't good... Having said all that, I've been using the sauna usually 4-5 evenings per week for about 20-30 minutes at a time. I let it heat up for at least 10 minutes first, which on average gets the sauna temperature to about 110 F. Once I get in, the temperature drops a bit, but eventually makes its way to about 118-120F over the course of the next 20-30 minutes. Every so often I'll see it get to about 123F, but not often. I do get a reasonable sweat starting after about 10 minutes in the sauna, and once I start sweating I stay in about 10-15 min. It's a good starter sauna. A good introduction to creating the habit of some self care without spending an exhorbitant amount of money. But is it therapeutic grade? No. It cannot reach the temperatures that are required for a therapeutic experience. Would I buy it again? Maybe. But I think once this one no longer works (hopefully it lasts a reasonable amount of time considering it was several hundred dollars), I'll probably invest in something a bit more robust. It's OK. I'd recommend it to someone wanting a low cost sauna. It's not perfect. But it does a reasonable job for what it is and for what you're paying for.
