My son and I really like the set. I like that it’s portable. The only issue I find is that the magnets are super secure, and they fell out of some of the pieces. I can’t find one of them, so I’m scared to lose one of the pieces. But for the money, it’s worth it being a little set to practice.

This is a nice size to travel with. Quality seems good, the down side is the magnets aren't very strong and the bigger chess pieces are top heavy and don't stay on the magnetic board great. The board itself is smooth. My kids can pass the time on long car rides playing chess while improving their chess game. My son is teaching his younger sister how to play so its great learning opportunity for both.
