Worth the price
I had bought a 2 gallon Solo a couple of years ago. This 3 gallon sprayer I had recently purchased had more attention paid to the leaking gasket around the outer red cap where it screws onto the tank. It had more grease applied and seemed fairly leakproof when I used it last fall. As you can see in the photos there is a handy container for extra sprayer ends. The hand pump works well. However, I don't use the shoulder strap because I have to set the sprayer on the ground to repressurize the tank, plus carrying it by handle puts the spray nozzle closer to the ground. I had noticed a reviewer said he needed directions for attaching the strap so I included a photo of how to do it. An added benefit that I wish the manufacture would consider is a quick attach/release of the hose and wand so that the outer red cap can be easily unscrewed when cleaning the tank. A better solution would have been to shorten the red cap inside the tank so that the contents would drain completely without removing the cap. Also, I found the wand holder was too loose letting the wand fall out too easy. I put some electrical tape around the holder so that the wand had a tighter fit when it was mounted to the tank for storing, etc. I do like the translucent tank making it easy to check on the remaining liquid in the tank. Using the handle to carry the tank in one hand and with the wand in the other hand makes this an efficient sprayer to use. Of the various sprayers I have used, and after evaluating what is on the market I have found this Solo sprayer fits my needs the best.

Nice sprayer for spot spraying of herbicides
Quality Solo product. My family has been using Solo brand sprayers for years and this one is another example of their strong product line

Don't waste your money
Wow. Now I see what all the bad reviews are about. The tank arrived finally only took three weeks I unpacked it and opened the plastic bag the extra nozzle tips that were advertised that come with it and they didn't. The carry strap didn't have any thing to connect it to unless I tie a knot at both ends of it it's not going to carry much. The plastic tube inside fell off the red cap just screwing the top on. I took it out and put it back on after I cut about half an inch of it because of a crack in the top of the plastic tube. Because its a new tank and I test with tap water. I filled the tank with room temp (about 70 F) to the 3 gal. mark put the plunger in and secured it to the tank. Out on my back porch to continue my testing and brake in of the tank. After checking to make sure all the connection were tight. I began pumping the pressure in to the tank. after about 5 pumps I noticed the change in the tank pressure. so I locked the handle in place. Than used the bleeder valve on the handle to bleed out the air in the hose and re-tighten it after it started to leak water. unfortunately it didn't stop leaking water after it was tighten. and I had to wrap the threads in Teflon tap to get it to stop. Because the entire assembly is plastic you can't wrench on it with a pair of pliers so hand tight is the best any one can hope for. From where the wand connects to the nozzle I had to use more Teflon taps as well to stop the leaks. After running the first 3 gal. through the tank. I ran another 3 gal. or at least I tried. As I pumped the pressure up in the tank on the 4th pump the over pressure valve popped open and has stayed open it wouldn't close. (with or with out any thing in the tank.) I don't blame Gatzies (the seller) for these problems. They had no way of knowing this is a quality control issue at the factory. Solo is a German company and their track record for German quality control (or the lack of) speaks for it self. while the problems are all factory issues from the beginning of my placing this order. its been one big let down after another. Gatzies for a lack of communications and there attempt to sell something they didn't even have in stock to Solo's for there lack of quality control. I have a 1.5 gal tabor tank I bought from Harbor Freight last spring that works better than the Solo tank and its make with cheaper material and worked better out of the box than the Solo ever will. (I wonder if tabor sells a 3 gal. tank.)

Works well. Gaskets haven't broke like cheap one I had.
Switched to five star because it's been working good with new sprayer handle and may have left the old one in cold weather with fluid in it which could have cracked it.
