Not for equestrian use
The block is sturdy and well made, but we wanted it for our Riding For the Disabled Group. Unfortunately, despite the description including suitability for horse riding, it can't be used for this. The rail stops the rider from swinging the leg over to mount. Also, we had hoped that the rail would provide safety for children but it is to high so they can still fall backwards. Finally, the treads are quite narrow so it would be difficult for any rider to turn on them to face the horse.
