Whole Blood would be the setting to use for capillary blood collected via lancing your finger.

Does this unit have a bluetooth sync capability to upload results to a cell phone app? If so, is there an app to download from the Apple store?

can strips be bought separately as well as lancet?

Yes, please search our product list for Lipidocare Test Strips. Lancets will be included with test strip purchases as well. If you need to purchase lancets you can go to Walgreens or CVS and purchase "21G" lancets.
