A: From what I remember, there is a subtle difference in the colors of the brilliant set and the traditional set.  The green dotter is probably the one color with the most obvious difference.  (I remember the green from the traditional set being a darker green.)  The yellow & violet are more similar.

A: They are like markers and should not soak through page with normal usage
