Norpro Canning Jar Lifter

Never knew these existed!I had been using my silicone gloves to put my jars in and out of boiling water when canning. Since I realized they make these canning jar lifter...they are a game changer! Works well on wide or reg mouth canning jars. So much safer when adding and removing them from the water bath canner! Great price and I love them! They are shaped in the perfect way making it simple to water bath can and not get burned! Highly recommend!

I don’t have very strong hands and this jar lifter is easy to use and doesn’t hurt to use it. The build quality seems really great and durable. It’s a good size and does what it’s supposed to do. It’s fast to clean, just use soap and water. The design of this jar lifter is perfect, fits snuggly under the screw on lid of the jar. I added a video to show how I was able to grip it with the handles and lift it up easily. The jar I used in the video is a quart size. Highly recommend this product!

This was exactly what I needed for my canning adventures. They work perfectly, and seem very sturdy so far.

The absolute best jar lifter I've ever used and very economical. Its slim style and shape allows it to fit very securely in-between jars in my pressure canner and facilitates safe lifting without bumping into other bottles. This lifter is light-weight, yet very strong and secure in lifting out bubbling quarts of food from my pressure canner. I feel very safe using it, and I'm in my 70's and arthritic. Thanks, Norpro!

Easy to use. Beats spilling the entire jar when I pulled it out. Inexpensive, good quality

Do you need this for canning? Technically, no, you can also wrap rubber bands around metal tongs. However, these make lifting jars out of boiling water much easier and it feels much, much more secure. It is a small cost for avoid splashing boiling hot water and breaking glass. Happy with the purchase. So far have only used them on two canning batches, but so far holding up well and they made the process go quickly and safely. I would highly recommend for safety.
