Wisdom for everyone
This is a book I'll give to my daughter to read when she's growing up. It contains advice that I wish I had been given, particularly with respect to perspective linked to your thinking and experience. I wonder though if it will go over her head and only be read and understood later on with some life experience on her shoulders. Nevertheless forewarned is forearmed!

Essentially a light summary of some excellent books the author has read
Essentially a light summary of some excellent books the author has read. Having read many of these books, I did not get a ton of value out of this title.

Good, Quick Read
This is a Nicely written, short book on what is important in our lives. It is an easy read that anyone can take away some words to live by. I know I always need to remind myself what is important in my life and that winter never lasts forever, spring will make its way. Be grateful.

Glimpses of perfection
Writing that you'll revisit several times. Perception itself is little understood in a culture that hinges itself on quick fixes and sound bites. True poetry is both immediate, impacting, and changes your perception. This is all three.

One book to recommend.
If I had to choose 1 concise book to recommend. Regardless of age really but under 30 is preferred. This is it. Steps towards worldly wisdom. Also good for all ages.

To read multiple times in a year, every year. On a weekend... on a holiday... I know I will read it again and recommend it / gift it to friends in the next few weeks.

I found 'Pebbles of Perception' a really easy book to read, and full of interesting tips and stories. Full disclosure : I know Lar and reviewed it prior to it's publishing. As I read it, I found myself underlining some paragraphs and adding notes in the margin, and I now have it on my desk and reference it often, which is a testament to the book and the authors experience. The gem on the page I have open now is... Edward de Bono wrote a book called "How to be Interesting", which might be summarised in two words: "Be Interested". Thank you Lar for saving me the time to read that 300 pages ! It's quick tips like that and his stories make this a memorable read. Paul

This book essentially gives a good overview of many different topics. It focuses on how we can become better human beings and live happier lives. The main thesis of the book is that to improve, we have to be more curious, build our character, and make better choices. Each of these aspects are explored in many chapters. The chapters are fairly short; they take about 5 minutes to read, but give a lot of value. After reading the book, you'll get a better sense of how to improve your life. Then, if you want more information about certain topics, you can look for a book that goes in-depth into that topic.

"Life is one big bundle of interconnectedness." I wish most of the books could be like this one: honest, interesting, thought-provoking, short, straight to the point, with cool illustrations, filled with priceless wisdom and deliver so much value, that £8 would look like an unreasonably low price to pay for it. It's not a book to read once and forget. It's a book to have with you when you're making important decisions in your life. It's a life guide that I wish I had 13 years ago. Bravo, Laurence Endersen, you did an amazing job!
