Crime Scene Forensic Science Kit: Solve The Missy Hammond Murder

This game was a lot of fun. They put a LOT of effort into the information you have to look at for the case. My 13 year old and I did it together. It is a lot of reading and some topic matters are for for you get kids (ie talking about sex, affairs, drugs, etc) The hands on fingerprint part was not very accurate which was messing us up in being able to guess who did it but ultimately we got it right! Would love to have another game like this but with even more hands on testing!!

Fun for a classroom with low student numbers! All the components worked great and the finger print dusting was lots of fun!!!

Enjoyed the storyline and had fun with the forensic kit but didn’t love reading the statements/interrogations online. Overall, this kept my 14 year old and me entertained for a few hours.

This was a gift for our 14 year old daughter, she is considering a career path in forensic science. She loved it. She followed the material and spent weeks with a journal waiting for any spare minute to continue working on the case. She is sad that there aren't other cases to purchase. The material was all accessible via her mobile device, a desktop computer is not necessary. All in all, a great purchase and we felt the money was well spent.

This was by far the worst game of this genre we’ve done, we’ve completed over 20 different ones (unsolved case files being the far and away best brand). The fingerprint evidence would not transfer to the tape and the blood evidence had zero reaction with the test strips… this could not have been worse and I would not recommend, felt like an incredible ripoff.

My 3 grandkids, 14, 12, and 10, used this. They love solving crimes, They even make up their own crimes to solve, so I thought this would bring some reality to their fun. I facetimed while they did it. The directions are good. The fingerprint items were good, but the blood samples and test vials couldn't be opened. They had to cut them open and/or break them to open them. They were able to scan and get to the "lab" DNA results and I had to help them understand those results. They did correctly identify the criminal. When I asked them to rate over all, they all give a 5 rating for fun and entertainment, but 1s for quality. If the blood samples had been more user friendly, it would have been a 5 star hit.

My 11 year old daughter has hopes of becoming a detective when she is older so, I figured this would be perfect and it is! She was able to get a small idea of what it would be like and she was able to include her younger brother. They made up scenarios and found prints for hours.
