good small day bag
I just used this on two trips and it was a GREAT bag! Itโs not that heavy, has padded straps, and holds a lot for a small bag. I wanted something that wasnโt too big, but had a lot of space. No bag is perfect, but this definitely fit most my needs. There is a lot of room inside, considering it's a small bag. The bag has a lot of give to it because of the fabric, so you can fit a lot. I had all my daily stuff, teen/husband stuff I had to hold, and random small things I bought throughout the day (items that weren't too big). There is a great side pocket for my water bottle and it never fell outโฆ.this was important and so convenient. The pocket probably won't fit those bigger water bottles. There is another side pocket that is zippered. I kept my battery pack and other small things in it. The front pocket section has room for different things, card holder pockets, and a key holder chain. I like that all the zippered pockets can lock, so no one can open my purse from behind....that's why I bought it. I had to get used to there just being one zipper you have to move across to open for each section, but it wasnโt a huge deal. Nothing ever fell out. My only wish would be that there was a big zipper pocket area on the inside of the main compartment. I just kept two pouches of items for money, credit cards, and other things in the open pocket area inside the main compartment. Itโs a deep pocket inside which is good. The fabric is easy to clean. I was really happy with the purchase, and happy I got it on sale. Even with all my stuff in it, it was comfortable to wear all day walking around. Just know it's not a big bag. Definitely a good day bag that isnโt too big and fits stuff if you need an extra small bag to carry. This is not a big bag if you need it for a lot of stuff. I have similar bags, but this was good with the anti-theft clip. Oh, I saw someone posted their clip broke. Mine never broke, but I do see you can buy antitheift clips on Amazon if needed for the bag to replace.

10+ Year Review - Extremely Durable, Right-sized, Practical (small) Backpack for Travel
I have had this backpack for over 10 years now (almost 11 years!) and it has held up remarkably well. I have traveled all over the world with it, including Afghanistan and Ukraine, and it is my go-to carry-on for the plane (fits easily under the seat). Itโs large enough to hold a large iPad and plenty of other items for travel (portable power banks, charging cables, snacks, small books, and so on), including a water bottle on the side (and an additional water bottle in a second, zippered pocket). There is a nice interior pocket in the closing flap that I use for small electronics/airpods, flashlight, etc. The front pocket is very useful for smaller items. What has impressed me the most is that after more than a decade, it has really held up. Iโve overloaded it at times and used to often for travel, and yet it feels as good as it did new. No problems. Other bags I have had have suffered tears (particularly the straps) or rips over time. This one hasnโt had any issues at all. I prefer to buy once and keep something forever. That is what drove me to write this review - my satisfaction with a product that has gone the distance, and more. I have never had to test the anti-theft mechanisms built-in to the bag, thankfully, but in questionable areas, it is my go-to backpack with the two-handed pockets (zipper mechanisms), mesh, and interior cables. While this backpack is great for traveling (i.e., it fits under an airline seat and is fairly light and right-sized for city touring), it is not a full-sized backpack so if you are going camping or need to stow a lot of gear, you will probably need to look elsewhere. It works really well for day travel, though.

Great size for anytime use
I travel a lot.. and in Europe it's difficult to juggle the carryon requirements and having a around the city bag/purse. I've been a travelon customer for awhile given all the extra security they build into their items while still looking nice. Since the main compartment is one large compartment rather than normal backpack sections it has enough interior room to stuff a lot in for the plane (had multiple phones, chargers, regular purse items, plus a rolled up sweatshirt and rolled up jacket...). Once i got to my destination i could take out all that i didn't need and then i had plenty of room to buy stuff while was out and about. It's also great is you travel in shoulder seasons and actually do want to keep a sweater/lightweight jacket/ gloves etc in it and not have to wear all the extra gear all day for the weather changes. My favorite travelon backpack finally fell apart and they no longer make it so over been going thru various others to find a new go-to. This is the first that hasn't left me wanting compared to my original!! There are also side compartments, one that zips and one that's open but deep... Great for water bottles or umbrellas! The only thing i wish all these travel bag makers would ditch (or make options) is the divider and padding to allow to put a tablet or small laptop in there. It creates a useless divide for me and takes up space (though not much) that could always be valuable! It's rather have a larger zippered pocket there if nothing else.

Perfect weekender or day pack! A keeper.
For an upcoming coach train trip from Chicago to Albuquerque I searched for a backpack that met these criteria: It must be scaled to my 5โ size while being roomy enough for a weekend, secure, well constructed and usable also as a day bag. This bag meets these criteria! Here is what I easily fit into this bag for my test pack: An Amazon Basics small packing cube holding a pair of jeans, a long sleeve knit shirt, 2 pair of socks and underwear, a bra and a caftan; a Travelon light weight toiletries cube (approx 8โx6โx3โ) holding deodorant, toothbrush and paste, a couple of prescriptions, a small bag with foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick and another clear zip bag with liquids (lotion, shampoo, hairspray, conditioner); my IPad in the tablet/laptop slot at the back of the main compartment; a small zipper bag with backup charger, earbuds, adapters, phone and battery cables; my knitting (for multitasking while watching scenery); snacks (a small bag of nuts, one of candy, an apple, a couple of chocolate bars and a can of the powdered drink I like). All of that went into the main compartment. In the front flap pocket I put some pens and a guide book. My wallet, a coin purse and my phone went into the secure zippered side pocket but these also would have fit in the front flap pocket. That's a lot of stuff! Kind of like the clown car trick. When fully loaded the bag still only weighed 11lbs and didn't knock me down or make me look ridiculously overburdened and clanking with gear! On the underside of the top flap is a zippered pocket that I didnโt use and I also didnโt use the credit card and passport slots in the front flap pocket. That pocket also has pen slots and a narrow pocket that my phone would have fit into if I chose. My travel documents will fit there nicely. My IPad easily fit upright in the 9 1/2โ wide inner slot in the main compartment which is not padded but more to keep your tablet from falling over the other contents. The main compartment can open to 11 1/2โ at its widest so keep that in mind if you intend this bag for your laptop. Using packing cubes kept things organized while leaving space on each side at the wider bottom to stash snacks baggies or other small items. Let me also vanquish one common complaint that Travelon must have heard often enough to fix: The straps are completely adjustable. In fact each can be shortened to only 18โ from shoulder attachment to hip or extended all the way to 32โ. The straps are nicely padded and backed with breathable mesh though the back of the bag itself is not. It appears to be sturdily constructed. My wish list to make this the perfect bag would include changing the water bottle pocket to elasticize mesh, adding a sternum &/or waist strap, breathable mesh for the whole back, using dual zippers on top and front flap openings, and offering more interesting colors. Whereโs a nice lively red?! Lastly, some commenters have ridiculed the size of the bag as not being adequate apparently because they are big people. Their size doesn't mean this is a bad bag, it just means they didnโt read the specs to choose an appropriate bag for their stature. And take a look at what I fit into it! Once the bag gets through the shake down trip and has a few more miles on it Iโll come back and comment on itโs durability. Happy trails!

City walking is in the bag!
This is just a lovely little backpack. I bought it to take on a trip to Philadelphia, after looking at about a million billion other bags online. I loved the safety features, and wanted something fairly small and minimalistic - classy enough to take to a job interview, but comfortable enough to hold a few items hands-free as I traveled around the city. This item fit the bill perfectly. It's quite lightweight, so even with several items in it, you barely feel that you're wearing it. The water bottle pocket on the side is really roomy, and I was able to fit a full-sized travel mug in there. That pocket is fully lined and zipper/mesh-free, too, so it avoids that sort of annoyance. It makes it really easy to access your drink on the go. The other side easily holds a travel umbrella or other item, and has a little mesh pocket inside it as well. There were lots of useful little compartments in the front compartment and elsewhere, and a padded iPad sleeve inside. I had no trouble finding room for a number of things. It's a pretty small backpack, but it could hold a few necessary items and a little purchase or two, or a pair of shoes, or a sweater/scarf, etc. in the main compartment. It is large enough to accommodate a file folder, if necessary. I used it for my extra carry-on item on the plane as well, and it fit under the seat with plenty of room. It has a sleek, clean profile when worn, and would be suitable for pretty much any occasion. The fabric is smooth and nice to touch both inside and out, and doesn't pick up fuzz from your clothing during use. My only issue with the bag is that the first one I received had to be returned, because the hanging loop at the top was not fully sewn in. But Amazon quickly replaced it, and the second one was fine. I loved the sense of security in the safety features and secure zippers, and it was easy to slip off and hold in my lap while riding the subway. A great little bag for the city, or practically anywhere else! :)

Compartments, stylish, well made!
I donโt know where to start. This backpack is absolutely phenomenal for the price. Excellent quality, sturdy and will keep your belongings secure. The straps are adjustable, there are pockets and compartments for all my bits and piecesโฆ I wish I had found this travel pack a lot sooner. I can already tell itโs going to last a long time because itโs incredibly well-made. Lightweight too!!!

Great travel bag! Holds a lot!
I bought this based on a review by Travel Fashion Girl. I love, love this bag!!! I took it on a cruise in Croatia and have used it on several trips since.I've now had it about 10 months. It is small but it holds a LOT! I can get my laptop plus my I-pad mini in it plus the cords and mouse. Also several folders and other small items. The side zipper pocket is great for my reading glasses and sunglasses. The other side pocket holds my water bottle or other item. The outer zipper pocket is great for small items like gum, tissues, etc. I am always amazed at how much I can stuff into it! It is compact. The zippers have clips to discourage pick-pockets and to prevent them from unzipping unawares. It easily fits under the airline seat. I often clip my sound reducing headphones to the outside, or can even get them inside the bag if I don't bring my laptop. The handle on top is handy to clip my water bottle carabiner to. Overall a GREAT bag. I no longer use my big backpack for travel. The only thing I sometimes wish is that there were 2 zippers on each zipper closure so I could open and close it from either end, but that would decrease the security.

secure, lightweight, comfortable bag
I already owned two Travelon purses before ordering this backpack for a recent trip to Europe, so I knew about the high quality and how secure Travelon's bags are. My husband was always carrying a messenger bag and would load it up with too much stuff as we explored, so I wanted to get a lightweight, secure bag. The Travelon backpack fit the bill perfectly! It is lightweight, well padded, has plenty of organizational pockets and sleeves, and it holds a lot for a small bag. We easily fit our sun hats, a cardigan, my camera and souvenirs in the main pocket, with water bottles and an umbrella in the outside pockets, and my husband's wallet, snacks, chargers, sunblock, etc. in the front pocket. When we bought several bags of gummy bears in Europe, it easily handled the heavy weight of them for the flight home. The backpack fits perfectly under a plane seat with extra room for a purse or your feet, and of course in the overhead. My favorite feature, as with my other Travelon bags, is the locking zippers. If we had anything of value in the main compartment, like my camera, we locked the zipper. It takes two hands to lock and unlock it and isn't easy -- which is exactly what you want, to thwart thieves. The fact that the straps are cut-proof makes it a truly secure bag. When we sat at outdoor cafes, we simply put a strap under a chair or table leg so no one could grab it and run. Travelon's bags are machine washable but also clean up quite easily with wipes or dishwash detergent, as we discovered when forgotten bananas in the top compartment got smushed! This bag will be coming with me on all my trips from now on, as my Travelon purses already do. I've already recommended this bag to my friends and heartily recommend it to anyone who needs a secure way to stash their gear when hiking, exploring, traveling, etc.

Best travel city bag.
My favorite travel bag. Compact but big enough to carry tons on stuff during travels. Multiple pockets make it convenient to find your things quickly. The safety hooks really make it hard to unzip. Reassuring when walking in cities or crowds. Absolutely love it! I have been using it for almost a year and have tested it on 10 trips.

Good for travelling
Pros: After putting several relatively heavy items (full metal water bottle, etc.), I found the that straps did not hurt my shoulders. I used this bag daily for 12 consecutive days when I travelled to Europe. The bag maintained it's quality. Zippers worked and had the option of being clipped to a hook which is attached to bag for added security. I was pleasantly surprised to find a mini light attached to the clip for the key. Cons: I would prefer to have the pockets for ID, etc. and the clip for a key? inside the main compartment instead of the outer pouch. Overall, it is a good, sturdy bag and I'm pleased with my purchase.

brand, quality, material, finish, functionality, productivity
great brand, totally supporter of Travelon bags, but there are a few points constantly misleading in their design and functionality! RFID is great to have, even small, but what is the point, if the wallet, money and all valuables are suppose to go into the front, this should be considered for the main compartment, with a safety lock system, not just the zipper closure unit, which is a great idea, but for laptop, tablet, phone, money, not safe enough. The front pocket can rather be used for sun glasses, tissues, book, pad, pen, etc, but not for valuables. Main compartment is great with pockets/ dividers, but as said, it should keep the valuable, hence it should be re-organised/ re-designed. The opening of the main compartment, is not great either, it is to narrow, zipper should have been installed more wider, with a wider entry of your hands/ arms to get in and out. I you want to carry a laptop it's possible, but when adding up all into this bag, it gets quickly full and heavier. ;-). What is great, are the outside pockets with outside zippers, for slick design, and once opened one can add water bottle, and umbrella. that is a great function. missing a sling for adding backpack to the top of your suitcase, and could have a hidden back pocket, at the back. Not suitable for someone who likes a true safety, but its a great city backpack, for a day, but for longer travel far away, might be too tiny.

Great travel backpack, not too big or too small.
Love this Travelon anti theft backpack, I had no worries of being pick pocketed in crowded areas when travelling overseas. The click on zippers helps secure my belongings which slow downs a potential thief. The backpack was a great travel size, not too big or too small, can carry all my essentials including a parka, camera, water bottle , umbrella, wallet n wet wipes.
