Our county requires all home doors to have an active alarm so if children open the back door to go out to the pool, adults are alerted. This alarm is VERY loud and works great. Even the county inspector that came to the house after the pool installation was done was impressed. The remote is nice because the unit it installed at the top of the door to keep it out of reach of little ones. Easy to install and can be turned on and off depending on whether you have children in your home.
