will it float in water, building a boat dock .. dropped my aluminum one, sank like a rock..

Ok I had to try this out in the shop sink and Mine did not float. However it did not sink instantly but it did sank. Get a floating key chain like the ones used on a boat with the stainless chain to attach while your using it near the water. Little inconvenient but that will keep it a float if you drop it again. Once your dock is done go fishing for that Aluminum Catfish Square with a treble hook. LOL Have Fun and Good Luck
