Exactly what I needed
Bought this for my 2022 ram 2500 and it works perfectly. Itโs not going to do everything out of the box because of the locks on modern ecms but I was able to pull live data and diagnose a problem Iโve been throwing parts at for months. (the ram dealership in town wasnโt even able to diagnose the problem). Great product and day one itโs already paid for itself

Great DIY scanner.
Great DIY scanner. Was able to read ABS and SAS fault codes on a 2016 Ford Fusion. Customer service was very helpful and were able to answer my questions about whether this scanner could read codes on my car. This scanner cannot re-code modules.

Does what I need it to
Haven't tried the ABS bleeding, injector coding, and DPF regeneration doesn't apply to me, but everything I've tested works. I've been able to diagnose and fix several issues with 2 vehicles. I originally purchased a scanner 3x the price and none of the fancy stuff that one offered worked for either of my vehicles. That one was also full of typos. This offers most of what I would want in a clear and easy to use and easy to read handheld device. There is very little delay and it starts up quickly. Not sure what difficulties people are running into on updating. I turned it on, updates were available, pressed install, and came back a while later to a fully updated scanner. I'm comfortable saying I've already saved over $2000 on easy to moderate difficulty repairs and maintenance so it's paid itself off many times over. I'm sure most people looking here doesn't need to hear this, but you still have to put the work in yourself. It's not going to repair your car and it won't always tell you EXACTLY what's wrong, but if it doesn't you will at least get an idea of where to start.

Easy to Use - Large 4.3" TFT Screen - Lots of Functions
I own several OBD2 scanners / diagnostic tools. I work in the powersports industry (motorcycles, ATV, UTV, etc.) and similar type tools we use cost many times more than this one and most have less functionality. As I've said in a previous review, if you are an auto technician or even just a do-it-yourself person and have a modern day vehicle then a OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool is a must. There are lots of brands and models available for purchase that range from super cheap to rather expensive and as you go up in price you usually get more functionality you get. An inexpensive OBD2 scanner will most likely have a low-resolution screen and just scan for DTC codes and offer no definitions of the codes. Also cheaper scanners will most likely not have a live data stream and will not have any recording capabilities. These budget scanners also may not offer updates and could possibly not work with later model vehicles. More expensive OBD2 Scanner / Diagnostic Tools like this one have higher-resolution color screens, offer code DTC definitions, are updatable, and perform more functions than just reading and erasing DTC codes such as allow you to view live data streams an even take snapshots and record this data for later playback. I purchased FOXWELL NT624 Elite OBD2 Scanner / Diagnostic Tool because of the higher-resolution screen, built-in code DTC definitions, and because it is updatable through their website (free update for life). It also gives you live data readings for most of the OBD2 monitored systems on your vehicle, and it has the ability to capture and record streaming data, and you can reset many of the systems and fault codes using this tool. I also like that it came with a nice hard case. Before first use of the FOXWELL NT624 I went to the FOXWELL Tech website, opened a free account, and then downloaded the software needed to update the scanner as well as view files from the scanner. Once installed the software serves as a dashboard to update the scanner with the latest scanner file updates as well as choose which car models you want to have access to on your scanner. You can also choose to uninstall models if you like. (see screenshot below) The included Micro SD storage card appears to be able to hold all of the available car models if you so choose. But I chose not to install some of the obscure models that I have never heard of and will never work on. Note: Let all the updates finish before unplugging or hitting any of the buttons on the scanner. I find that it is best to walk away while the scanner is being update so I am not tempted to touch anything. With the latest updates installed I was then able to plug the FOXWELL NT624 into the OBD2 diagnostic port on my truck and car and start testing all the functions. I didn't read the manual at first but was able to navigate through all the settings and screens fairly quickly as the button layout is fairly intuitive and the tool five you onscreen prompts. (More complex diagnostics and running graphs will require a little reading first.) I've only used this OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool for a little while but so far I like it. The tool is easy to hold and navigation and selection buttons are well laid out and rubberized making navigation easy even when wearing mechanics gloves. The 4.3" TFT screen is clear and easy to read with information screens that are logically laid out and easy to navigate. Plus the wealth of information that this scanner/diagnostic tool reads and the functions it performs is incredible, especially considering the price. The only slight negative I can think of is the body of the scanner is not rubberized so I would be careful not to drop this. I hope you found this information helpful. And as with all my reviews if I experience any issues or problems Iโll update this review.

I would not buy again.
I had Fixd scanner that constantly lost connection with my iphone. I bought the Foxwell NT624 Elite figuring it would always connect (by wire) and for it's extra features. The quick start instructions tell you to do an update and show it as simple usb connection. They don't tell you that you need to download the update from their website. I've seen several other people's reviews that had the same confusion. By the way, they have two websites. So after registering on one and failing to verify my registration (got a blank page with some japanese on it), I eventually made it to the other website. I registered and found the updates page, but when I clicked to download the update, I got a blank screen. Eventually, I think i figured out that my new scanner had the latest software, so the website would not download me the software (I'm assuming that's what happened). When I first tried to use it, it sucessfully found my VIN number, but then as I tried to do a disgnostic scan, it froze up. On any following attempts, it failed to find the VIN. I did figure out how to specify my vehicle and again it froze during a diagnostic scan. After giving up on the scan, I used it to view live data. It was very clunky to navigate and the data was not easy to view (compared to my Fixd iphone app). The graphing could only show 2 graphs at a time (Fixd can show 4) and the graphs were poor resolution and slow update rates (compared to Fixd). As I played around some more, I was able to see that I had a pending code for my catalytic (the Fixd does not show pending codes). When I tried to use the scanner again a few hours later, it booted up to a picture of the SD Card - as if the card were missing. I finally gave up. Sooooo....I wasted several hours on this thing and didn't really get any more out of it than my Fixd scanner which costs way less. Thankfully, Amazon has easy returns.

Buyer beware!
Buyer beware it cannot preform alot of functions as decribed , read the legal disclaimer at the bottom, false advertisemnt. Well after doing another successful update i plugged it into a working vehicle and got this screen. :(. As seen in pictures. I had to finally return it and take an 20% off or final price due to it being a late return Update: now that i have used it more it has become slower. There has been times were it has actually froze and had to unplug the unit and restart it. I had tried to only download what i needed and deleted all the rest in hopes of speeding up the unit and no it did not. Some of the modules it would not pick up were another less expensive did. I have contacted support , they was fast to respond in asking for a video to be sent to their โ emailโ that was in an attached document via amazon messages and that email was bounced back, so I have contaced them once again in hopes to see what can be done. This is becoming a time waster both trying to do diagnostics and in trying support. Could be a tad faster at retrieving codes and be more user friendly. My older scanner is a bit faster than this unit and oil reset works on most vehicles were this one does not. So I have to keep both units. Customer support is fast and responsive. There is lots of room for improvements including keeping a file of vehicles worked on previously so you can find it an load up without having to go through all the steps of doing like a new vehicle. Also a back light would be nice as being in certain areas the screen has a tendency to be hard to read. Also there is no way to reset tire pressure monitors on this device or read other obdII compliant vehicles that have a different data port. All in all its a good all around above the average diagnostic tool!

Works well on my 4runner
I've been using this for a month now on a few different vehicles. It's good I like it alot more than my old outdated scanner. It reads live data. I can monitor transmission temperature which is important when draining and filling on my toyota 4runner. It looks like it has the capability to complete abs brake bleeding but I have not tried that out yet. It's only a 1 way scanner that can read codes and show you live info. It cannot communicate with the car to tell it to turn things on or off. For that you need to spend more money for a bi directional scanner. Maybe I should have spent alittle more and got that one instead but at the time I felt I didn't need that. 4 stars cause the unit has no memory. There's no battery no storage slot to pou in any kind of SD card or anything like that. Everytime I plug it in to the car I have to first go to settings and change the unit of measurement to imperial. By default it's set to metric. I don't regret buying this so I'll give it 5 stars, but if you can afford to spend alittle more, I would get the bi directional unit instead.

Brilliant ALL SYSTEMS Scanner ๐๐๐๐๐
Excellent, Professional Grade Product. Unlike other devices that strictly only process engine or emissions controls, this has โAll Systemsโ capability with comprehensive reporting, clearing of error codes and many car service tasks. Well worth the investment.

Value packed but extremely slow
This is probably the most powerful scanner for this price range. Having done my research, this is the only scanner in this price range that are able to scan, detect and reset other systems in a wide range of vehicles and are updated for free from the company. This is so good that if i could I would rate it 6 stars our of 5. However it should really be 5 stars, as it was extremely slow to use this unit. For reference it took 18 minutes to scan all the sytems on a Nissan based vehicle. In summary very good scanner but make sure you're not in a hurry and you don't run a shop, because if you did, it'll drive you insane.

Well made works great
This scanner met all my expectations and then some. Works perfectly. Had the ABS light on and it found the problem immediately. The bonus was the WIFI capability. I can download the latest updates right from my garage instead of going back in the house and connecting to the computer. So convenient. And the life time update downloads are great. I would recommend this scanner to DIY or a retired automotive mechanic such as myself. I'm 78 now and did have an early scanner in my shop but that was a long time ago now and this scanner is so much more advanced. Good job FOXWELL.

Good Product
Great quality product and very well-made, but unfortunately, I had to return it as it is not compatible with Holden vehicles.
